About Pension Tara

Pension Tara is situated in the heart of Prague between Wenceslas Square (1 minute) and Old Town Square (2 minutes). All the tourist and business attractions are within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs around so you won't need to take a taxi or any other form of transport to get back to the hostel early in the morning after the all night clubbing!

Metro station 'Mustek' lines A and B are in 2 minute walking distance from the hostel, which provides easy transport anywhere in Prague (2 stops to the Prague Castle, 2 stops to the main train station).

Havelske Trziste (Havel's marketplace), where the pension is situated, is a tiny picturesque marketplace where you can buy flowers, souvenirs, fruit and leather goods. The history of the house goes back to the middle ages, when it was known as a House of the Golden Rose, later on as a House of the Black Head.

Privacy of guests is guaranteed!!!!!!

The total capacity of the pension is 45 beds in 1- to 7-bedded rooms or 6bedded shared room which are situated on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor. We are a perfect choice for both individual travelers and larger groups. All rooms are equipped with a fridge and have their private bathroom*. There is an electric kettle, plates, cups and cutlery in each room.

The dorm has private bathroom and toilet, fridge, tea making facilities, table and chairs. Everyone keeps one's disposal: Kitchen equipment (plate, glass, knife and fork), linen, towel and soap. Privacy of guests is guaranteed - everyone has private locker. The room consist of 3 rooms. For special requirement it is possible to separate male and female. There is no common room to meet people.

Rooms are furnished in order to ensure the comfort of our clients.

Rooms on the 4th floor ensures stunning views at the very heart of Prague.

There is no curfew or lock out. After your arrival you will be given your own keys and keep them during the entire stay. Our staff is available on the reception from 9:00 till 20:00 to provide you with tourist information and answer any other questions you may have.

Check-in time is from 14:00 and check-out is at 10:00. If you are arriving after 20:00, you can pick-up your keys in the reception of Hotel Melantrich, Melantrichova Street 5, just around the corner from our pension. All you have to do is to tell the receptionist on duty your name and you will get your keys.

We have free city maps and free city tours for our guests, choice of Prague guides to borrow and we can arrange various leisure activities such like tennis, adrenalin sports like tandem jumps, seightseeing flights and many more for reasonable price.

Breakfast can be arranged to your room:standard breakfast for additional 100 CZK per person. If you wish to order breakfast please let us know in advance what time you would like to have it on the first day of your stay.

*Room number 32 has its private bathroom in the corridor right opposite the room. All other rooms have their bathroom ensuite in the room.

Between 12 pm - 1 pm the 'cleaning hour' is proceed. It is necessary to leave the room.

Please, be careful on your keys. In case of loss, we have to charge from your credit card 20 USD.

Please, be considerate of the other roommate and keep in mind bed allocation.
