Danhostel Copenhagen City

Photos Facilities Map Streetview Reviews

Hostelworld users voted us the #1 hostel in Denmark at the 2009 Hoscars!

The five-star Danhostel is located on H.C. Andersens Boulevard, a 10-minute walk from the central train station and bus terminal.

With 1,020 beds, we’re Europe’s biggest hostel.

Apart from the building’s exceptionally fine view over the city’s skyline, the Opera House and Islands Brygge, we’re centrally located within walking distance of all major attractions, City Hall Square, Tivoli and the always-bustling city centre.

We offer free Wi-Fi in all our rooms as well as an internet café (for the use of this we charge a small fee) and TV room. Grab a free book or leave one for others in our book exchange.

If you're looking for more liquid entertainment, make yourself comfortable in one of Copenhagen’s cheapest bars, located right in our lobby!

Our restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet for an unbeatable price.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our hostel and our fantastic city!

Please note that children under the age of 12 are not permitted to stay in the dormitory rooms.

Please read our Things to Note below before booking.

The fact you had to pay to access the internet was a little off-putting. Especially since it costs 29dkk an hour (which is more than the minimum working wage in the US). Also breakfast was extra and the staff was a little bit impatient. All that, I would stay there again. We were in the corner room on the seventh floor and the view of the city and of the islands was completely gorgeous. The shower flooded the bathroom which made for a nasty mess on a daily basis. Plus a Brazilian looked through my stuff when he was stoned on the reefer, but I can't hold the hostel responsible for that. . . plus he didn't actually take anything. They offer locks at the front desk. I recommend renting one upon arrival.

Great place, quiet location and reasonably priced. Everything's walkable from here, and it's right on the water.
