This is a Trusted Review. Why?
There are much cheaper hotels/hostels closer to fun areas like Plaza Foch. This hotel was in a pretty shady looking area. I needed to catch a bus to the northern beaches after checking out, and the front desk directed me to all the wrong places.
This is a Trusted Review. Why?
Apparently, the owner has some issue with this site and fees associated with the bookings. He kind of ranted about it to me for a few minutes, talking about how he called them and left a message etc..., and it kind of put me off. It is not the problems of the guest and I did not see why he felt the need to go into it with me. He honored the pricing and deposit so there were no problems with that but I got the idea that pricing is usually different when booking through other means.
Decent location. If having a tv in your room is a major booking point, know that it does not have any English channels and any English shows I came across were dubbed. The hotel was clean but my room had a cleaning solution type smell that reminded me of a hospital or nursing home. Mattress was on the firm side but some people like that. Shower was more warm than hot, but definitely not cold. Good pressure.
Has WiFi but could not use the computer in my room because of a weak signal--I was on the third floor. There is a nice sitting room on the ground floor with comfortable chairs however and the signal was fine there.
If you like sleeping late, know that some sort of building or something nearby has some sort of fire-alarm sounding thing that would go off sporadically pretty early in the morning. It is quite close--first time I heard it, I thought it was coming from the hotel.
Overall, nothing really wrong with the hotel, just wanted to share some points that I would like to know if I were booking.
