The location of this hotel is great. It is located on the hearth of the souk, surrounded by many restaurants, coffee shops and shops. The staff from the hotel are very helpful and they organize many tours at good prices.
The terrace of the hotel has a wonderful view to the Nile and the Luxor temple. The service of the restaurant is good and cheap. Overall is an excelent choice for visiting Luxor.

Lonely Planet guide book 2008 recommended Nefertiti Hotel on page 272 as the best budget hotel in Luxor. Check out what they wrote.
Rooms are simple and spotlessly clean, with small private bathrooms and air-con: mid-range facilities at budget prices. The roof terrace has views of the West Bank and the top-floor lounge satellite TV and a pool table. It's no wonder that the Nefertiti gets consistently good reviews from our readers. Recommended.'
The hotel is located on the historical side of Luxor, with exceptional value for its central location overlooking Luxor Temple, River Nile, the Old Souk street (market street) and the Mummification Museum.
Witnessing sunrise illuminating Luxor Temple and reflecting on the water of the Nile every morning is a scene to remember. The roof terrace, where breakfast is served, is a great place to start your day, spend a laidback afternoon, or enjoy the evening smoking a Shisha (water Pipe). You can also spend time in the closed area playing pool, chess, backgammon or even exchange books from the 'book corner'.
You will find it easy to plan your next stop with the help of our experienced tour operators, working through the reputable Aladin Travel Services.
The hotel and the travel agency are managed by the 'Al-Sahaby' family, a family involved in tourism for decades. You will definitely feel the friendly and the warm welcoming atmosphere once you walk in to the Nefertiti Hotel.
Our main concern is to help you make the most of your time, and to ALWAYS have new friends and family members!

Great value for this hotel. The location is excellent with a great roof terrace. The place was a little rundown but was clean.
I would definitely stay in this hotel again given the great value.

The very best budget hotel in town, and I stayed in different hotels in Luxor. Unbreakable breakfast on rooftop in front of the luxor temple. Perfect sunset view in the evening. Extremly clean rooms with bath and a/c. Hotel is in the center of Luxor but still quiet! Mohamed from the reception ist the best and trustable egypt, I met. If you have any problems, he will solve it. Tours and recommendation are honest and worthful. Absolut no hassle to the guests. Just go there and enjoy!
This place was great. Really accommodating staff who will hook you up with solid tours - but no hassles trying to sell you stuff you don't want. The room was nice and airy and spacious. It's right in the middle of town by the market and the temple but somehow manages to be quiet even with the windows open.
The rooftop was my favorite place in town to relax - it looked over the Luxor Temple and Avenue of the Sphinxes, and the Nile beyond. My only complaint is that as a woman alone, the young waiters there seemed a little over-eager to charm me and chat when I would rather have been reading or writing. But nothing creepy. Just young guys who probably don't meet too many unchaperoned young women.
very best location. gently and cheap
