By plane:

Scheduled flights are from Italy and foreign airports with arrival to the Palermo Punta Raisi airport or Catania Fontanarossa. You can continue your journey by coach, train or car.

By train:

From the stations in Catania or Palermo (Catania is nearer) it is necessary to travel towards Caltanissetta-Palermo and get off at the Dittaino station. From here there a is coach from Valguarnera which arrives in Piazza Armerina in about 40 minutes.

By ship:

Arrive to the Palermo or Catania ports and continue by coach, car or train. Different companies offer journeys for passengers with cars from the main Italian ports (Genova, Livorno, Cagliari, Civitavecchia, Napoli) until the port of Palermo. It’s better to book at least a couple of months of advance if traveling during the high season. There are fewer possibilities to arrive to the port in Catania from the port on the Adriatic, although the journey duration is superior. One can embark from Napoli and Trieste.

By coach:

We recommend this as the preferred service as there are active fast lines in comfortable and modern coaches which travel on the motorway and the roads connecting Piazza Armerina to Catania and Palermo. Companies who make the regular services are: SAIS and Etna Transport.
