Soph & Chris Athens Northern Backpackers originally opened in uptown Athens, where during the Olympic Games 2004, it became the most popular of Athens hostels among visitors, athletes and volunteers.
Today, we have decided to relocate in the heart of Athens, right next door to AthenStyle famous hostel. We have new beds, dorms with a view and all the happiness and experience of making your trip to Athens unforgettable! Of course, all facilities of AthenStyle will be available for your convenience.
Check in and all info will be in Athenstyle (next door) Agias Theklas 10, Monastiraki, Athens.
Our newly renovated 8-bed dorm have private bathroom, each bed has its own plug and reading light, each room has A/C and its own fridge and... some of the rooms have private patio with view to the Acropolis!

We stayed ın a 10 bed dorm and thought ıs was okay. The buıldıng we were put ın looks very dodgy from the entrance but rooms are fıne, so dont be worrıed! It has a common room ın the basement whıch has ınternet, lıttle bıt creepy but defınıtely ınterestıng! Staff are lovely and helpful! There ıs a kıtchen and a small rooftop bar wıth awesome vıews of the acropolıs. Rooms were okay, large wıth lockers but ı dıd not lıke the showers. They were dısgustıng. Not clean at all and you must push a button to get the water on, every 8 seconds or so as ıt turns off. You cannot set temperature and water ıs dırected rıght ın your face. Its fıne to stay for a short whıle, but ı would fınd somethıng else next tıme. I do not know about other rooms, but ı assume they are sımılar.

a very nice place, with a great atmosphere. good breakfast, and very serviceminded and nice staff. beautiful view from the rooftop bar!! a little dodgy room, because the toilet was leaking and the temperature in the shower was very unstabil.
i would love to come back some day
