We are located about 10 minutes walk to the famous Canterbury Cathedral and the Town Center , situated in a quiet residential area of Canterbury.
Set in a beautiful 120 year old town house, we offer a wide range of BUDGET accommodation from dormitory rooms to single and double rooms, - suitable for both groups and individuals.

The hostel reception is open between 7h30 and 23h00 Monday to Sunday and on public holidays. Check-in time after 2pm

Kipps is within easy walking distance of the City centre, the main line railway and bus/coach stations. So come and pay us a visit in our World Heritage historic city, and enjoy our comfortable, clean and homely hostel!
Kipps is an ideal centre from which to explore the Kent Countryside known as the garden of England. Parking is free on road with restrictions applying only from 1200hrs to 1600hrs on weekdays.
Seaside resorts of Whitstable and Herne Bay are within easy cycling distance with regular bus services from Canterbury. Further a field are Dover castle, Leeds castle and Dover cross channel port for easy day trips to France.

Check in time on your arrive date is after 2pm!
Important Information.
Under 16s are not allowed in dormitory rooms, even if accompanied by an adult. You will need to book a private room. You will not be checked in to the hostel, so please do not reserve a dormitory room if you have children under 16 years of age.
The hostel is cleaned daily from 11am-2pm, and all common areas and bedrooms are closed during these times.

From the bus station: Turn left at the bus station (heading away from the store fenwicks). Turn left onto Watling street and walk towards the round-about. Take the underground pathway for pedestrians where you come out onto Old Dover Rd. Walk up towards the traffic lights and turn right onto Nunnery Fields (there will be a church on the corner). Walk about 5 minutes up this road and the hostel is number 40 on the left side of the road. (total walk, 10 minutes or £4-6 for taxi)
From Canterbury West train station: Turn right out of the station and walk to the end of this road. Turn left at the round-about stay on this road when it becomes pedestrian only (this is Canterbury's high street and changes names several times). Walk all the way to the end where you will have the stores wilkinson on the left and fenwick on the right. Take the underground path for pedestrians where you will come out at St. Georges place. Walk up to the traffic lights (you'll see safeway and blockbuster) and turn right onto Upper Chantry Lane. Walk towards another set of traffic lights and keep going straight ahead. This road after the lights becomes Nunnery Fields where the hostel is situated at number 40 on the left hand side. (30 minute walk or £5-8 taxi fare)
From Canterbury East train station: Turn right out of the station walking towards the car park. There are green and blue signs pointing to a bike path/walking path. Walk through the gate and towards a bridge on the right where you cross over the train tracks. you will come to a road where you should turn left and walk to the end of this road (up hill) where it meets Nunnery Fields. Turn left to walk down and the hostel is the first houes on the right. (10 minute walk or £5-7 for a taxi)
