basic room on suite, furnishings really need up dating and replacing.
Although tidied every day, bed made towels changed. A good mill dew cleaner on windows and shower is needed.
Management very helpful. Couldn't eat there due to staff absent, but did not mind us ordering in. Rooms at front very noisy(traffic)
value for money paid.
Looked like they were just starting to update down stairs when we left.

Looked like they were just starting to update down stairs when we left.
We'd originally booked into the Comfort Inn down the road, but got an email a few days later telling us it was closed, and that we'd been relocated to the 'Dene'. This seemed a little odd, and I had a few misgivings about the place (not least since the photos on their own website didn't manage to show the place in its most flattering light), but we ended up being pleasantly surprised. The area was nice, the hotel clean, and the staff friendly. The room itself was nice and private, with a distinctly homely feel to it. The en suite bathroom was fantastic (sparkling and spider-free), and the bed HUGE! The room looked a lot more modern than I was expecting (although they could do something about the blankets- it looked like somebody had eaten the 1960s, then thrown them up onto bed-linen). That's a small gripe though. Otherwise, a great place to stay, and highly recommended; especially for those preferring a nice, residential area to the noisier parts of town!
