We had intended a stay at a traditional Japanese Ryokan and were not disappointed. The proprietors were gracious and greeted us with a tray of tea brought to our room upon arrival. The Futons and Down Covers were comfortable and warm this chill spring night we were able to turn the heat off.
There was delightfully carved woodwork and pretty fresh flower arrangements even by the sink area.
From the Ryokan it was easy to visit the Peace Memorial and to have an easy stroll to Hiroshima's
Parks and Museums. We were surprised with coffee in the morning and seen to the door by the
Proprietors in the most kind fashion. We would come back to stay if our travels brought us to Hiroshima in the future.
