From Coniston village take A593 towards Ambleside. After 200 metres look for hostel sign on old-fashioned finger post, pointing the way to hostel up a short lane on left.
Public transport: Bus: Stagecoach in Cumbria 505/6 from Ambleside (with connections from Windermere station).
Rail: Ulverston 13 miles. Parking: Yes.
