This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Well I had loved this hostel. Everything was amazed, they were very clean, the location is quite good if you weren´t search for a lots of fun(maybe if you look for some private fun it will be the best ;) ) and the bathrooms were amazing too. I just have a little thing that had surprised me, that was the repairs that are being done to the main facade and i didn't knew, so when I saw it I wondered "It is this building?--' " but when they finish it it will looks amazing!
Greetings :)

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Ok lets start, basically I just cannot understand why this "hostel" has so good references yet.
First WARNING: The hostel is not really a hostel it just an old big building in the center of Barcelona where all kind of people live. Meaning only the 1st, 3rd and 4th floor of the building belong to Barcelona Rooms.
This wouldn't be much of a problem if there wouldn't be a metal workshop(or something like that) in the groundfloor.

This is NO joke, the whole hostel is basically built on a metal factory.

They start working every day at 8am, meaning they start hammering and sawing metals like mad. It really was so damn loud we just couldn't believe it, if you like free wake up service at 8 am this would be allright ;)
Fortunately sometimes they don't start hammeringe right at 8 sometimes they start at 9 and you get a little bit more sleep, and of course on weekends.

I also heard of some rooms that are faced to the street where the noise of the metals aren't that bad but of course you get the street noise there.
Our room was in the middle of the floor and we only had one sinlge tiny window which faced to some sort of a chimney leading up to the roof, which means pretty much no sunlight an just very hot and stuffy air. The only thing that made it possible to sleep was the big fan on the ceiling. Remember it was not even hot season yet...

Now let's get back to the hostel, as I mentioned only 3 floors belong to the hostel, which means if you stay in the first floor you have to walk up the stairs(there is no elevator) to the 3rd floor each evening if you want to cook as only the 3rd floor has got a kitchen. Though breakfast can be served in every floor as every floor got a small couch ,some chair, a table and a room to prepare breakfast. Also a PC with free internet was there.
Also the kitchen was allright and pretty much clean(saw the receptionist cleaning it in the morning).
Not that clean was our room, I mean on the surface it was allright but if you look at the corner of the shower for example it was quite disgusting looking at some mold or hole in the ceiling. It wasn't really bad but I just expected more for that price.

Still I have to admit that at least the kitchen was clean and the receptionist was very polite and helpful. Other rooms than our also were nicely painted in colours, our room didn't have any colour and looked quite as if it was under construction.

Maybe we just hat bad luck with our room but still this hostel is rated way too high.
