Good location, beautiful building, kind staff, clean and quiet, but not very good wifi connection and it was difficult to use shower room.

About Palmers Lodge - Swiss Cottage

Welcome to the boutique backpackers Palmers Lodge Swiss Cottage, where you can experience Victorian elegance in the former home of Samuel Palmer, of the Huntley and Palmers biscuit empire. Built in 1881, this substantial house has been restored to its original glory in order to offer our guests not just budget accommodation but also a unique experience during their stay in London.

Palmers Lodge Swiss Cottage also offers unmatched conference and training facilities at its Willesden Green site. Situated in the large Conference Hall and Palmers Board room, the competitively priced facilities cater for meetings of up to 250 people.

Our Chapel Bar and Scullery Restaurant serve wide choice of food and drink, including cocktails and daily drink specials.

Mixed Dorm Single Beds

The 4-Bed and 5-Bed mixed dorms are equipped with SINGLE BEDS, so you need to book ONE BED per guest.

Please note bookings are not confirmed in the same rooms as there are more than one dormitory from certain room types. Please contact reception if required and we will do the best we can to accommodate bookings in the same room.

We have a wide selection of accommodation; from ensuite single, twin and double private rooms to 28-bed dorm for the really price conscious traveller. Great care has been taken in furnishing our spacious rooms to the highest standard with top quality bunks and secure storage facilities.

If you are going out then take the tube from either Swiss Cottage or Finchley Road tube stations and in a few minutes you can be in the heart of the City. If you're having a really late night then you can catch the night bus back from Trafalgar Square! There is also plenty to do on Finchley road with two cinemas, the Hampstead Theatre, pubs, restaurants and the O2 shopping centre. Just ask our staff for ideas!

Check in from 2pm or leave your bags before in our luggage room. Security luggage lockers and Laptop lockers are also available for storage outside the rooms - these cost between £1.50 per day or £7.00 per week.

Check out is 11am with breakfast from 7:30am to 10am.

Photo ID required at check in - Bookings cannot be accepted by anyone under the age of 18 unless they are accompanied by an adult; if the adult is not the legal guardian then you will need a written approval from parents with a copy of their passport or I.D. Please not all under 16 are not allowed in dorms! If you are travelling with young children then you need to book a private room.

Towels are not included in 'Linen' but these can be hired from reception. Towels are included for Private Rooms

Although we do have wheelchair access, the availability of wheelchair access rooms is limited.

Palmers Lodge Cancelation Policy:

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy, therefore we need to know before 2pm the day prior to arrival if you don't need your reservation or if you wish to change the arrival dates otherwise you will be charged for the first night.

Conditions

All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult and have an written aproval from parents with a copy of their passport or I.D. If staying in a single sex dorm room the adult and child must be the same gender. Please note under 16s cannot be in dorms only in private rooms, If you are travelling with children please contact the hostel first.

Photo ID must be made available at check in. If you have no photo ID at check in then your booking may be refused.

We are a backpackers - beds are bunks! If you really need a bottom bunk then please contact the hostel as soon as you make your booking, quoting the reference, and we will try and ensure that you are allocated one if its available!

MIXED DORM (9 Bed or 12 Bed)– Please note that some our mixed dorms 9-BED & 12- BED are equipped with DOUBLE beds all with their own curtains and lights( at this moment we are experience some problem with the 12 beds , please check with reception to confirm your booking ). Therefore each bed you buy in these rooms will sleep TWO PEOPLEThe MIXED DORM (5 BED & 4-BED) are SINGLE beds and bookings must be made per person.

Please note that TOWELS can be . BED LINEN is included in the price of the booking. BRING A PADLOCK!

ACCESS TO THE ROOMS IS AT 2pm BUT YOU MAY CHECK IN EARLIER AND STORE YOUR BAGS

CHECK OUT IS AT 11am
Late check out may incur a £10 charge at hostels discretion.

CREDIT AND DEBIT CARD PAYMENTS:
Balance payments made on arrival using a credit or debit card will incur a £1 surcharge.
