‘Fatima's Nest’ is an amazing Backpacker with Campsite built right on the top of the sand dunes with spectacular sunset on a palm tree fringed lagoon and the sunrise over the blue azure of the Indian Ocean.

Looking for a place where civilization is definitely overrated - well this place helps everyone understand the Tofo vibe. If one is looking for a tropical beach paradise with coconuts swelling, white sands and fantastic surf, this is the place.

Inhambane is a photographers dream; it possesses a unique charm that can only come from a rusty old town with dilapidated buildings. It is worth exploring the fascinating mix of African, old-world Portuguese and Muslim cultures.

All built on the sand dunes with local and natural material : Private Ensuite Casitas w/ private bathroom, Bungalows (1 to 4 person sharing) and Dorms.. Fully equipped Campsite with a Lapa and a Braai area where you can prepare your own food!

Crockery, cutlery, etc. can be obtained at the Bar giving a small deposit.

Freezer/Fridge facilities are available for sharing with other guests! Enjoy our Dinner Buffet with lots of seafood and vegetarian traditional dish around the fire under the stars. Try Mathapa (South African fish)

Basics such us bread, milk, sugar, veggies & fruit (limited), cold rinks etc. All our accommodations have linen and mosquito nets.

Cold drinks can be purchase from the local market. For more variety you will have to go to Inhambane Market.

We do PICK UPS every day at the Bus Station in Inhambane City for the Express Bus that leaves Maputo at 6.30am

We do free pick ups from the Airport Inhambane if you have a confirmed booking with us.

There is a daily Shuttle-Bus running from Maputo (leaves at 5.30am from Fatima’s Place) to Tofo and return. It leaves Tofo Fatima’s Place every morning 4am.

If they drop you off at the market, follow our sign; we are about 2 minutes walk along the beach towards north.

If coming by car, just follow our signs in Tofo.

Coming from Swaziland or South Africa by Minibus, ask the driver to drop you off at our door for some extra money. Be aware.

From Bus stops, do NOT pay more than 30 Rands and from the Airport, do NOT pay more than 75 Rands. Have a safe trip!
