Overall I was pleased with my stay at this facility. the price was good. the building itself was superb, comfortable and the grounds were well cared for. The room was large and clean but it could have had some work on decor-ie a picture or two. the staff were helpful.

Looking for a comfortable, central & trendy base for your Cape Town visit? Backpackers on High Level is a cannon shot from the waterfront and city centre, and a 5 minute walk (or stagger) from Green Point's many trendy bars, clubs and restaurants.
Stunning sea and harbor views with lawn areas and hammocks provide a space for you to relax before hitting our bar or any of the numerous local hot spots in the area.
If you feel like hanging out at the Backpackers, you can enjoy the pool, braai and DSTV facilities on-site. Breakfast is available on request and our water filter means you don't have to spend a fortune on mineral water.

Location Information
From the airport (N2 road) or from the bus/railway station, head up strand street in the direction of the waterfront and strand street turns into high level road. We are next to Calvacade Street on high level road. Travelling from town you'll see a big brick clock tower (with blue lights on top at night) on the right hand side and we're directly opposite on the left hand side of the road.

Overall I was pleased with my stay at this facility. the price was good. the building itself was superb, comfortable and the grounds were well cared for. The room was large and clean but it could have had some work on decor-ie a picture or two. the staff were helpful.
I felt safe in the area and the neighborhood was upscale.
Location and more specifically the lack of public transport ,apart from taxis, was the major drawback. Restaurants in the immediate area were not plentiful.
