I think, Annie should more pay attention to other guests as when I stayed, another guests just use the toilet but didnt flash and it's so disgusting. I rinse my T Shirt but another guests just throw the tissue into the bucket which i rinse my T shirt in it.

About Annie's Homestay
Annie's Homestay is right in the heart of Batu Ferringhi and is within walking distance of bus terminal, banks, post office, money changers, restaurants and shopping centre.
Welcome to Annie's Homestay, It is a homestay in a clean double storey house in the heart of batu feringghi with breakfast in a very convenient & central location, just 7 minutes from the beach. We are proud to say that guest's feel very much at home with us!
We offer clean rooms with no Curfew and no Lockout, Free tea/coffee & Free Breakfast.
We speak fluent English and we will do everything to make your experience both pleasurable and hassle free. These services are available to you based upon your personal requirements.
Our rooms come with fan and shared bathroom & toilets or rooms with air conditioning and shared bathroom or attached bathroom.
We have internet but it is Rm2 per hour, you can use the usb stick and connect it to your laptop.
Accommodation Information
We have 9 rooms only to ensure your privacy & 3 are air conditioned double bedrooms with a shared bathroom, 3 double fan rooms with shared bathrooms, 1 air conditioned double bedroom with en-suite bathroom & the last one is 2 single fan rooms with a shared bathroom.
We live here now with our family.
We have internet but it is Rm2 per hour. You can connect a USB stick to your laptop to use it.
Location Information
Directions from Penang International Airport to the Guesthouse:
You can take bus no. 102 to Batu Ferringhi & the right spot to get down is at the "Golden Sands Hotel". We are right opposite the Golden Sands Hotel & you have to walk in for about 7minutes to Jalan Sungai Emas 3. In fact you will pass the local Kentucky Fried Chicken. Please tell the bus driver to drop you off at the Golden Sands Hotel’s bus stop.
If you are coming from Butterworth, you can also take the U101 bus from the Georgetown ferry terminal to our place.
From the Penang International Airport, the travelling time is around 45 minutes to an hour by taxi or 21/2 hour by bus.
By Taxi:
Guests can take a taxi from the airport to the guesthouse, you can just inform the driver of the location and he will bring you to the guesthouse. Travelling time is around 45 minutes to 1 hour and the charge is 70MYR.

We had a fantastic stay and extended for a further 4 nights. A great location in batu feringi away fro he hustle and bustle of georgetown but easily accessed via local bus, also close to the national park and beaches. Did have problems finding it initially, but really easy when you get your bearings.
Great night market locally and a variety of places to eat or you can cook your own here, and get cooking tips from Annie.
Really chilled and comfortable accommodation with clean shared facilities including a large lounge and tv. Breakfast is simple but tasty including fruit and local pastries. free tea and coffee all day, Annie will do your washing for rm5 and internet rm2 per hour.
A safe, quiet and friendly place to stay, would reccommend to anyone, all ages.
Definitely stay again if we are in the asia. Annie is fantastic and really helpful

Best for the people, who are looking for the cheapest hotel.
You will not like the breakfast what they are providing. In the web you will be offered for the free internet use. But after going there, you have to pay for the internet use.
Just 12 mins from the sea-beach. Anne is well informing person giving the directions to her customer.

We had a brilliant time at Annie's Guest House. Initially we were booked in for 2 nights which was extended to 5 nights.
Annie and her husband Raj are lovely, friendly, fun people who after our stay we consider as good friends.
My partner and I have been travelling for 12 weeks and Annie's was great to kick back and relax. The house is 5 bedrooms, on our first couple of nights we had the house to ourself. It was great to have a some space as opposed to a hotel room. Also having a big kitchen to do a bit of home cooking!
If ever we come back to Penang, we would definitely stay here again.

If you prefer to stay in a home-from-home instead of the impersonality of a regular hotel then stay at Annie's Homestay. Annie and husband Raj are a very friendly couple who take pride in looking after their guests. Even before I arrived she offered excellent advice regarding air-con buses from Penang Airport to Batu Ferringhi - at only 4MR!
Staying at Annie's is just like being at home with the 'run-of -the -house', including a very comfortable lounge area, cable TV, Wi-fi internet, and breakfast, coffee and snack facilities. Annie is an excellent yet unobtrusive host treating her guests like one of the family and offering much 'local' advice on where to go and what to do - She is also a great cook of Malay/Indian food and always willing to share.
I will certainly be recommending Annie's Homestay to my friends.

Annie's Homestay – This is not a ‘Hostel’ it’s a good size family home where you rent a room and share the good facilities with the other travelers. It’s only a few minutes walk from the main drag of Batu Ferringhi, but remains nice and quite. The Bus service through Batu Ferringhi gives good links to Georgetown to the East and the Main Bus Terminal and Airport dropping south down the Island of Penang. Whilst the bus route to the West give easy access to National Parks and various other attractions.
Annie is a larger than life personality who is able to give lots of advice on local events, venues and eating establishments. A very useful ‘add on’ is her laundry service at very reasonable rates, a vital extra for backpackers.
I would commend Annie’s Homestay for those traveling light and even for those with a small family, this is a safe place.
