Abode is a beautiful, fully equipped apartment for 1 to 5 persons in the historical center of Reykjavík. Right beneath Hallgríms Church, the apartment is situated in the rich vibrating neighborhood in and around Skólavörðustíg.
A bright and charming apartment with 2 bedrooms, living-room and a big kitchen.
Beds are made up before arrival and you'll find coffee, milk, soy milk, tea, honey etc. in the kitchen. The kitchen has all the basic equipment for the making of a home cooked meal.
Facilities for washing are outside the apartment and include a washing machine as well as lines for drying, an iron and ironing board.
Outside is a patio where you can enjoy the ambience of the evening sun and to view the street life along with a more secluded garden to relax in.
The first bedroom has a double sized bed, while the second has two single beds which can be moved together upon request. Additionally the living room sofa doubles as a bed.
The airport is located 45 minutes from the city center and is serviced conveniently by the Flybus. To make for an even more convenient stay, the local flybus bus stops 20 meters from the apartment.
When you enter the flybus at Keflavík Airport you tell the driver that you want to go to Hallgrímskirkja. He will then show you which local flybus to enter when you get to the central bus station, BSÍ. The local fly buses are free of charge.
When you get to Hallgrímskirkja, you are standing at the top of Skólavordustigur. So from there simply walk down 20 meters, ore one block, to house number 35.
Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 2 Days before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the full cost of the reservation. Deposits paid are non refundable.
This is a Trusted Review. Why?
In general, we were very well satisfied with this place. The location was great and there was plenty of space and it was clean. We liked the informality. The only complaint would be the noise--one night there was a group of teenagers hanging out outside our window, people who live in the adjoining apartment. We had to get up at 4 a.m. to catch a plane and we didn't get much sleep.

Really lovely place to stay, fantastic location and very good value. My only complaint/recommendation would be to bring an eye mask if you're staying over the summer and don't fancy waking up at 445am with the sun - the blinds don't do much to keep out the light.
