Riverine Woods, New Delhi, India

Riverine Woods provides a comprehensive outdoor orientated experience for visitors in tranquil and calming settings. A great place to come to get away from all the hustle and bustle of city life.

Officially opened in November 2005, Riverine Woods comprises of five cottages of locally sourced materials and include Western style flushing toilets with running hot and cold water.

The lodge has been designed to provide a comfortable, welcoming and traditional environment to stay and is built to allow fresh breezes to blow throughout the building keeping it cool when it gets hot outside.

Food is prepared at the camp by our team on site, and consists of hygienic and wholesome food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided as part of the package, and would consist of Indian, Chinese and European cuisine.

Meals are served in the dining room and sundowner drinks are available in the roundhouse near the river.

Tea and coffee are also provided throughout the day.

Guests can reach Riverine Woods by any of the following options:

1. Drive from Delhi via Moradabad, Kashipur and Ramnagar (an approximate 6 hour journey)

2. Take the overnight air-conditioned 5311 train from Mathura junction railway station (departing at 2315 hr.) to Lal Kuan (arriving at 0845 hr.) and then a 2.5 hour drive via Kaladungi.

3. Take the overnight air-conditioned train # 5013 from Old Delhi railway station (departing at 2245 hr.) to Kathgodam (arriving at 0615 hr.) and then a 2 hour drive via Kaladungi.

4. Take the overnight air-conditioned train # 5013A from Old Delhi railway station (departing at 2245 hr.) to Ramnagar (arriving at 0500 hr.) and then a 15 minute drive to Tiger Camp. You will then need to get a Jeep to reach Riverine Woods.
