Colonial Lodge, a newly renovated 70-year-old bungalow, is your home away from home in Fiji's capital. We're located in a very quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of Suva City. The bus station is just a three-minute walk away.

The Suva Market, where you will find the most attractive array of fresh fruits and vegetables in the world, is within close proximity. You will also find the Village 6 Cinemas, the Suva Handicraft markets, international restaurants and pubs, Suva Museum, Suva Olympic Swimming Pool, Suva Fleamarket and other great bargain shopping in downtown Suva.

The most famous forest park in Fiji is 20 minutes away by bus.

We're famous for our healthy and wholesome complimentary breakfastand home-cooked dinners. There's free Wi-Fi if you bring your own laptop.

We're the only bed and breakfast homestay for travellers in Suva.

Sorry, we don't accept credit cards so please pay in cash. We hope to get this rectified asap. However, there are several ATM machines nearby.

There is a one hour free wifi daily between 8.30 and 9.30 pm. Video applications are restricted as this free wifi provision is to help you organize your travels around Fiji and keep in email contact with your families. There are many internet shops in the vicinity for as little as $1.00Fjd an hour if you need video skyping. For travellers in Fiji for three weeks or longer, particularly voluntourists, it is advisable to purchase a usb internet stick for $29FJD with enough data to last you a month and you have access anywhere! Vodafone and Digicel mobile phone companies both have good deals and many other internet options to suit your needs.
Please catch a cab home after dark. Every hotel recommends this and taxi fares in Fiji are very reasonable. Make it a habit to write down taxi numbers in case you leave your valuables in one. By law, a taxi has to run a metre when you hop in. The flagfall is $1.50 then 20 cents every 100 metres. After 10pm, the flagfall is $2.00.

For the option to dine in, please notify us after breakfast if you wish to join us for a homecooked dinner. $18.00Fjd!. You won't get a three course meal at this value anywhere in Fiji! Usually a,main, dessert, and a hot cuppa.

Free soup dinners on Thursdays, with rice, nan bread or toast. 7pm

Not every bed has a mosquito net so please carry insect repellent around as it is essential in the tropics.
