Hotel Alpana

Photos Facilities Map Streetview Reviews

Alpana is ideal for guests who want to get a taste of what Haridwar is all about with its bathing ghats, puja at the Ganga temple and long walks on the river bank side. It’s also ideal for tourists and business travellers, as they get to stay in the heart of the city.

Alpana in Haridwar is a model hotel with comfort amenities located in the picturesque foothills of Mansa Devi temple, near the commencement of India’s Ganges plain.

Alpana offers its nearness to various trekking, white water rafting, nature walks, visiting the wild elephants of Rajaji National Park, and elephant photo safaris at nearby Chilla National Park. Guests can immerse themselves by visiting nearby places like Mansa Devi temple, aarti at Har-ki-Pauri in a complete rejuvenation experience and the holy bathing ghats nearby.

The five sacred bathing spots in Haridwar are Gangadwara, Kankhal, Nila Parvata, Bilwa Theertha and Kusavarta. The main ghat at Haridwar is known as Hari-ki-Pairi (known for a footprint of Vishnu on a stone in a wall). Hari-ki-Pairi is walking distance from the hotel. Nearby is the Gangadwara temple, the most important of the several temples that dot this town. The Ganga Aarti, which is performed each, evening, is a spectacular sight, when the aarti ceremony is performed at all temples in Haridwar at the same time. Thousands swarm to the Ghats at Hari-ki-Pairi to participate in this festival. Offerings of Diyas (burning lamp) and flowers are made to the river immediately following this ceremony and it is a moving sight to watch hundreds of Diyas (miniature burning lamps) float along the river.

The hotel features 2 deluxe rooms, 29 well-to-do rooms. The hotel is centrally air-conditioned. The guests who have previously visited praise it for being clean. Restaurant located in the hotel compound offers variety in taste and is hygienically prepared.
