Langza village is one of the most picturesque villages of Spiti located on the highland meadows with snow capped mountain ranges forming the backdrop. The village is adorned by a beautiful image of Buddha and an ancient temple more aptly called 'Lang' said to be the Abode of the Deities of the region and over 1000 years old.
Langza is also well known for its rich fossil reserves. Millions of years ago, Spiti lay submerged under the Tethys sea. Fossils of sea life can easily be found scattered close to the village. The village youth in an attempt to save their rich fossil reserves have developed a fossil centre close to the village. Regular fossil excursions are organised for a unique insight into the history of the Himalayas.
Spiti is located in the Trans-Himalayan belt of Himachal Pradesh in India. There are numerous ways of getting to Spiti:-
1. Via Manali - 1 day by bus (10 hours)
2. Via Shimla - 2 days by bus
3. Via Ladakh - 2 days by road and 1 week if trekking
Langza village lies a 1 hour drive from Kaza, which is the Headquarters of Spiti.
Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 2 Days before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the full cost of the reservation. Deposits paid are non refundable.
