About Marco Polo Hostel HK
We are a new hostel that opened in 2010 January. WE are particularly proud to offer a special sea view room to customers which is rather hard to come by in Hong Kong.
The hostel has rooms with a TV, air conditioning, desk, private bath, fan and towel. Hot water and security are available for 24 hours. If you bring your computer, you can use our free wireless internet network to browse in the room.
Rooms are cleaned daily by our multilingual, friendly and well-trained staff.
We are located in the centre of Hong Kong, and all the shopping malls, sight seeing areas, transportation center, bars, discos, and restaurants are all within a short distance.
Accommodation Information
Our staff clean the rooms and change the bed sheets every day, rooms are spotlessly clean. For the communal bathrooms, the staff clean them nearly every hour! All staff can speak fluent English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese.
Guest is provided with personal digital access key tag. To ensure highest security to our customers, entrances and every aisle in our hostel are equipped with 24 hours video surveillance system.
In our building, a group of security guards with uniforms are patrolling 24 Hours every day. Security check is performing every night at the entrance of the building's basement. If you come back late after mid-night, you need to fill in a form or show your passport, or ID card or hotel staying certificate to our security guards of the building.

and we don't have any other receptions in the same building or in other Block/Floor.
IMPORTANT:
After entering the building, please go straight of the row, you will find Block C at the last tower(first pass block a and block b),take Lift Number 6 (In Block C)go to Floor 15,After Coming out from the Lift. please turn right and you will find our Hostel Reception.
Please don't trust anybody in the street especially some say they are the staff or manager, or any person related to our hostel in the building (No matter how they are Indian and Chinese).
They are trying to bring you to different place to stay in other to get their commission and want to cheat money out of customers. Please Don't Believe anybody in Ground Floor of the building, ignore them, and come to Floor 15, Block C directly.

DIRECTIONS:
From Hong Kong Airport
1. Airport Shuttle Bus:
Airport bus is the most convenient and popular method to get to Chungking Mansions. The Airbus Station is located near the Arrivals Level (Level 5) of Hong Kong International Airport. Find the Airport Shuttle Bus Number: A21, which terminal is called Hung Hom KCR Station. Please take a short wait and get on this Number of Bus. The bus departs approximately every 10-15 minutes. A fare is HKD $33(free of luggage fee). When you are on the bus, be sure to first to secure your luggage then find a sit on the lower level. In 40 - 80 minutes (depends on traffic situation) you will reach to the Bus Stop No.14 - the name of this Stop is called: Middle Road Station, Nathan Road. Because the service time of A21 is 05:00-23:59, you can use N21 airport bus at same place and stop at the same bus stop if you arrival Hong Kong after 00:00 and before 5:00A.M.
Once you got off the bus, turn the back way, and walk approximately about 50M, It takes about 30 seconds on foot. you can see the Chung King Mansions front entrance on your right hand side. You will see the huge TV screen paste at the wall of Chungking Mansions. When you make sure you are at Chung King Mansions, Please kindly go straight of the row to Block C (at the last tower of the Chungking Mansions). You can see two lift in Block C, take the right hand side one, Lift Number 6 (stop at Floor 15), push the 15th floor button, when you come out from the lift, you can see our reception should on your right hand side.
2. Airport Express
Service from 05:50 to 01:15, every 12 minutes, it takes around 25 minutes, costs 90 HKD per each person (free of luggage fee). Please stop at the Kowloon Station and change to the free airport shuttle Bus Number K3
K3- taking K3 to Holiday-Inn Hotel and get off there. Please after go along the Nathan Road. Turn left, you can see the Chung King Mansions front entrance on your left hand side. You will see the huge TV screen paste at the wall of Chungking Mansions. When you make sure you are at Chung King Mansions, Please kindly go straight of the row to Block C (at the last tower of the Chungking Mansions). You can see two lift in Block C, take the right hand side one, Lift Number 6 (stop at Floor 15), push the 15th floor button, when you come out from the lift, you can see our reception should on your right hand side.
After entering to Chung King Mansion, Please go straight the row, and you will find Block C at the last Tower, Please take lift Number 6 (in Block C) to Floor 15.
3. Taxi
24 hours service. It takes about 30 minutes, costs around 300 HKD (free for luggage fee). Please tell the driver to stop at the ChungKing Mansion, Tsim Sha Tsui.

From Mainland China
1. Train
Train from ShenZhen
Service from 06:30 to 00:00, every 5 minutes, it takes about 45 minutes, costs 36.5 HKD for each person (free of luggage fee).Getting the train at Lu Wo Station and Please stop at the last station, East Tsim Sha Tsui Station. Please come out at Exit K.
After coming out from the exit, please go straight of the row and turn right at the first corner, you will first see the Imperial Hotel and Chung King Mansion is next to it. After entering to Chung King Mansion, Please go straight the row, and you will find Block C at the last Tower, Please take lift Number 6 (in Block C) to Floor 15.
Train from Beijing/Shanghai
The train from Both Beijing/Shanghai will stop at Hung Hom (Kowloon) station. First please get off the original train and change to train which Towards East Tsim Sha Tsui .Please take the train to the Terminal (East Tsim Sha Tsui Station) and then get off the train and come out by Exit K.
After coming out from the exit, please go straight of the row and turn right at the first corner, you will first see the Imperial Hotel and Chung King Mansion is next to it.
From Macau
1. Ferry
There are two piers
1. Guangdong Road (Tsim Sha Tsui). The ChungKing Mansion is within walking distance about 15 minutes.
2. Sheungwan. The MTR Subway Train station is right beside the pier and Customers can take the MTR Subway Train to the Tsim Sha Tsui station and come out at Exit C1.
Opposite to this exit is Chung King Mansion, Just cross the road will see Chung King Mansion is in front of you. After entering to Chung King Mansion, Please go straight the row, and you will find Block C at the last Tower, Please take lift Number 6 (in Block C)to Floor 15.

Thank you for booking our hostel. Our hostel aims to provide a very comfortable home-feeling during your stay.
1. We will keep the room until 00:00 on the day of your booking. You will have to pay the whole amount of room rent by the time.
2. Print out your booking confirmation sheet and check-in with your name. We will have your name on a list of paper. Please do not show or give your booking information to any stranger, because our hostel is popular, and some people always stand in the street pretending to be our staff (holding our business card)and bring you to a different place. They will try to get money out of you before you discovered that you have been cheated!
Even when you find out the truth, they will not return the money to you.

So i booked the room for 2 nights and pay for 2 nights but stay only 1 night.The reception is quite good and polite and the location is the best coz near the MTR station (recommend to use exit R from iSquare u can use Lift to the road)
and the price is cheaper than other hostelThe beds are mini and tall and they also give u the towel.
So overall is still ok.

The receptionist are rude and blur, she's not professional at all, they show us our room after we checked-in chased us out right after we unpacked our stuffs and told us rudely that it wasn't the room that we booked, and they talk among themself which room they should give us infront of my whole family! After waited for about 15 mins at the front desk I told them politely they should just give us the room according to the one I book online then they started to tell us that we can have better room if we pay more. I was really tired at that time so I really do not bother about better or whatsoever room as I know what I want, this time I I told them firmly I booked online, just give us our room accordingly and I won't add money to get a better room, so they did. (When we left the counter they were whispering) I can't believe simple thing like that need to be educate. Oh FYI, they have a lot of foreign workers working in that building, they seem so unhappy even when you ask a simple question about direction!

To be honest, I gave them 1 star because there was no no-star option.
First of all, the building 'Chung King Mansion' - I've seen lot of places but this building is by far the dodgiest and most dangerous (virtually unescapable in event of fire).
Second, the room wasn't ready when we informed them that we will be there by 4pm and the time we got there was 5pm. 'Kind of' hostile lady there told us to wait until the room is ready which we did for about half an hour. I started making complaint about this unacceptable situation then she gave us different room in different floor telling us she will swap the room for us next day. We figured there was no point making any complaints to this lady as her English was quite limited. We were so tired because of the long flight so I decided to follow what they offered.
I got into that alternative room they gave us. The place was almost like a cheap adult massage palore. The whole floor was humid with pink lights, doorlock wasn't stable and the room and beds were even worse.
My partner begged me to take her out of this place immediately so told the lady at reception that we won't be staying. I was able to get a refund after a long dispute but wasn't able to get the refund for pre-deposit. We managed to get a much clean & safe hostel after brousing around.My overall impression of this place is:
"This place is almost like a 3-star PRISON"

The room was very new and very clean, but small... You certainly get what you paid for. Everything was great.
Only downside was boxes of tiles were under the bed taking up some of the storage place for our luggage being a relatively small room, was quite frustrating. There was a leak on the side of the room causing our floors to be wet which was never rectified. However, the staff always apologised and cleaned it up.
I would stay again because it was very clean and the location was good.

I booked two rooms during my stay for three nights. One was on the 15th floor and the other one was at the 16th floor. Don't expect hotel standard. Its a Hostel. Its like a 3m by 4m room with a smaill bath room.
The one on 16th floor was hell. Bathroom was dirty, light was dim. Hair was found on the bed.
As the the 15th floor room wasn't as bad. Its seems that they have just renovated the place. New bathroom, bright and clean. Hair was found on the beds and pillows. Bedsheets not very clean. However, the hot shower and the aircon were working perfectly fine. That's all for the room.
Now we touch on the location. The Mansion located just beside the MTR. It was perfect. However, the worst part of the stay the buliding. To go to the hostel, you have to walk in ChungKing Mansion. There were so many people at the ground selling IT products and food. Most of them were non HK Nationality. I felt unsafe stay there. It's not advisable for Ladies to stay there. At lobby C, you have to queue up for the lift. Its a small i
lift.
We gave up after the first nite. However, the lady manager was kind enough to refund us for the last nite stay.Overall disappointed. However if you are on budget travelling, why not give it try.
