Kyoto City Hostel offers affordable & inexpensive accomodation for travellers from all over the world. The hostel is located in the north part of the town close to Kyoto Imperial Palace providing accessibility to shopping areas, restaurants, bars and places of interest of travellers.

Have all you need for an overnight stay or longer on shared accommodation basis right near the Kyoto Imperial Palace off Imadegawa street, in the noth part of the city.

Shared accommodation for only U$D25.00 (or less) per person per night or U$D165.00 (or less) for 7 days or U$D480.00 a month. Totally brand new nice house, clean beds, friendly staff, nice, cosy atmosphere in a safe place.

Services available for a fee: laundry, internet w/ web cams for video conference, scannings, copies etc... International phone cards at the best price in town, faxes, "free" cable TV w/ foreign channels, foreign magazines, free local maps, free bedding.

Well travelled staff and management in a very comfortable setting with lounge, reading area, kitchen facilities (equipped with microwave for light meals only), clean showers, toilets and bathtubs. No curfew and flexible check out time (arrangements must be made), free luggage storage for the day of the check out, main safe available for small valuable items passports etc..

We are located at the north part of Kyoto, within cycling or walking distance to all the most important sites of Kyoto such as: Kyoto Imperial Palace, Shijo, Kawaramachi, Gion" the most centered and of the best interest places such as temples, night life, star bucks, pubs, Japanese souvenir shops, Kimono dressing and Geisha costume photo taking etc...in fact the best Kyoto location.

All the rooms available are shared showers and toiletries, minimum of 4 beds per dormitory and maximum of 9 beds (rooms are assigned at random, however whenever possible we try to keep groups and parties together). Families and groups are welcome to stay at dorms if they so choose. We will accommodate people the best we can on first come first served basis, all the rooms are air conditioning/heater equipped. We are sure to give you clean beds in a safe and well located place.

We offer the following services for reasonable fees: laundry, internet, regular and mountain bikes, off road vehicles, jeeps, vans and motorcycles. We don't provide individual lockers in the dorms but a main safe at the premises is provided for small and valuable item such as money, passports etc... A reasonable comfy and sized common room is provided to the guests.

1st option:

If you are coming from “Kyoto” JR station , take the 101 bus. Get off at “Omyia” ?? bus stop, (on Imadegawa ??? street) walk ahead once you get off the bus, and turn right at the 3rd traffic light, that is “Jofukoji”???, our street, keep walking down on “Jofukoji, we will be on your left on the white and brown 3-level house that is located just before you reach the second block (corner) on Jofukoji, just after you pass a “temple” that will be on your right.

2nd option:

If you are coming from any of the following places: Shijo X Gion, Shijo X Keihan , Kawabata, Shijo X Kawaramachi, Shijo X Karasuma, Shijo X Horikawa, take the #101 bus and ask to be let off at Imadegawa X Jofukoji streets ( ??? X ??? ) Go right on Jofukoji which is our street, keep walking down on “Jofukoji, we will be on your left on the white and brown 3-level house that is located just before you reach the second block (corner) on Jofukoji, just after you pass a “temple” that will be on your right.
