Budget Accommodation Europe France Nice Budget Hotels Brice Hotel
I marked facilities down because there was no hot water! In the depths of winter, that meant having a lukewarm shower.
An attractive, prestigious three-star hotel, surrounded by an oasis of lush greenery with bay windows onto its terraces and Mediterranean flora….
Located in the residential quarter, 200 meters from the Promenade des Anglais and the city center….
All our rooms are air-conditioned and heated individually, with television, telephone, hair dryer, mini-refrigerator, bathroom or shower and WC.
Hotel Brice's neighbourhood is surrounded by a broad choice of public and private beaches, museum and shops. Excursions in the area can be booked directly from the reception where you will also find many activities in the area.

I marked facilities down because there was no hot water! In the depths of winter, that meant having a lukewarm shower. Otherwise, the room was fine, though one curtain would not open, having lost a clip and being attached to something that would not move - not a problem in my case, though, in view of my being out all day. Good to have a fridge and all other conveniences, though we British culures like to have a hot water jug that the French do not seem to bother with (could have had a hot wash, via a <bird bath>!) Another facilities issue was that I was cold at night (early February) because there was only one blanket on the bed; an extra blanket or a continental quilt would have been appreciated. I used my own coats on top of the bedspread to take the chill off - it is no fun shivering all night.
I can speak French; so I had no trouble communicating with the front desk on evening shifts; mornings were too busy to bother. The hotel is quite close to the seafront, and the station - when one knew the beeline to take (info on the website re the latter would help). It was further to the main shopping precinct, but not excessive. Eateries nearby, and supermarket for even cheaper eating options. I appreciated the quiet location (in north-facing room) with uninterrupted sleep.
