This hotel is best avoided. My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights in October of 2011 (even though we had paid for four, we left after three due to our disappointment with the hotel) and the hotel in reality looks nothing like the photos that are used to promote it on the website as it is in need of serious maintenance. The beach is very dirty, rocky, and littered with broken bottles. The hotel itself is completely isolated from the El Nido town itself, where all of the restaurants and excursions are located, and the only way to get to El Nido is by taking a 10 min. ride in a tricycle. Our room was not once cleaned during our three-day stay and the drain in the bathroom was clogged. The power was out for much of the time during our stay.
My girlfriend and I were charged $1,850 PHP (about $40 U.S.) for a lost key and the owner (a Korean man) had us unlawfully detained at checkout and issued verbal threats to us when I objected to the amount (I offered to pay $500 PHP for the lost key which was more than generous, but he insisted on the $1,840 PHP claiming that he had to "get the keyholder from Korea"). This incident was reported to the Palawan Police Department in Puerto Princesa.
