I didn't think the private back road that many properties gave on to, pleasant though it was, looked anything like a 'mediterranean garden decorated with palm trees - this gives a false impression. One certainly wouldn't sit in it for example.
I thought saying there was a shared bathroom was misleading - in fact our room had its own loo and shower and sink and there was a room with a bath if one wanted it which was to share. Good.... more

In the historic centre of Nice, a Bed and Breakfast ( breakfast included ) in a typical Niçois building of the 19th century with vast private sunlit rooms overlooking a Mediterranean garden decorated with palm trees.
This is an opportunity not to be missed if you wish to make your stay in Nice as
confortable as possible without breaking the budget. You will find your home away
from home.
Genevieve will ensure your stay is cosy with very spacious rooms,
beautiful decor, clean amenities and a safe warm environment. The rooms are
spacious, confortable, beautiful lassy and very clean. It's almost like Nice is
welcoming you home!
This elegant Bed and Breakfast 'Nice Home Sweet Home' is
very well centered, only 5 minutes from everything: the train station,
shopping, old town 'vieux Nice', Sea Front and beach.
Every room has a huge window to let in nice gorgeous weather and to greet the
energic nighlife. Some rooms have a very beautiful view on a mediterranean
garden with palms and the other to a large nice private street. Besides this,
the best about this place is that every morning you will be served breakfast
with a smile and we are always ready to inform and help you.
The price is more than reasonnable, plus a classic continental breakfast is
included! You would have to stay at home to get better service than this. The
Nice Home Sweet Home is exactly what you need on your journey.

I thought saying there was a shared bathroom was misleading - in fact our room had its own loo and shower and sink and there was a room with a bath if one wanted it which was to share. Good.The only thing wrong with the service was that we only had coffee for breakfast which we'd paid for because the children had to be taken to school and we had a bus to catch and could not wait till after 9.

Great value, low budget accommodation. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the room light and airy. We had booked a second stay, but had to be transferred to another hotel due to overbooking. However all this was arranged for us.

By Train: Opposite the Train Station is Avenue Auber (there is a Bureau de Change is at the corner of Avenue Thiers and Avenue Auber). Walk along Avenue Auber, at the third intersection after 5 minutes walk in front of Mozart square you will see Rue Rossini. Our guesthouse is located at the corner of Avenue Auber and Rue Rossini (n°35). We are situated just opposite at the Pharmacie in the building with AXA Asuurance.
From Airport by bus: Take the bus n°99 towards the train station (20 minutes). Opposite the bus stop by the train station you will see Avenue Auber which crosses Rue Rossini. Our apartment is located at the corner of Avenue Auber and Rue Rossini (no. 35) We are situated just opposite at the Pharmacie in the building with AXA Asuurance.
By Car: Follow the signs to Nice centre and then the direction of train station and follow the signs to Parking Mozart. Our guesthouse opposite the Parking Mozart. We are situated just opposite at the Pharmacie in the building with AXA Asuurance.
