Marine Tourist Guesthouse is far above the usual standard for accommodation; the rooms are clean and comfortable and safe. All units have been well furnished and are reasonably priced. You don't get better value accommodation in Negombo Beach. All rooms you can book through this web site come with air-condition or fan, closet, mini-fridge, TV, cable TV, private bathroom with cold, hot shower, safety deposit box,Free wi-fi in the room.
Marine TGH is 15 minutes away from Colombo/katunayake airport and 5 minutes from Negombo railway and bus station.Its 100 meters to the beach.

A friendly, clean, family run guesthouse, conveniently located along the main strip in Negombo.

The owner (Nishan) really needs to concentrate on the finishing details - the expansion is all well and good, but we (the only guests) felt like we were staying in an 'unfinished' room - the bathroom sink leaked continually, the shower hadn't been fitted to the wall, the curtains didn't meet, only half the light fittings had bulbs, there were tilers and other workers on site the whole time - it really needs to be closed until finished, or significant discounts should be offered. There was no sign of breakfast, tea or coffee being available during our stay, despite the website saying otherwise. Nishan did include A/C after we established that it was offered as an inclusion (in error) on the website.

A nice, comfortable place operated by two lovely people, Nishan and his mother.
Not every room has aircon, so if you want to have AC just double check this when you make the booking. I was expecting AC because that is what it says on the website. However, there is a fan and it doesn't really get that hot.
Although not top end, I have no hesitation in recommending this place. Good value for money!

We spent 3 days at Marine Tourist Guest House when we arrived in Sri Lanka on 25th May 2010 and a further 2 nights before departure on 18th June.
The room was bright and airy and spotlessly clean. We had a large mosquito net, good hot water, a refrigerator and a private balcony. The hotel is handy to the beach and a short bus or tuk tuk ride
from Negombo town.Nishan and his mother were kind and very helpful.
