This is a luxury Youth Hostel. After all, you deserve it. It is built on the beautiful lands of Trás-os-Montes, where nature is something else.A Hostelling International Member card is required (2€ per night to a maximum of 6 nights).

Surely the fact that Bragança is far up, in the extreme northwest corner of Portugal, is hardly an excuse for you not to go there. And there's more: if you want to get away from the rat race, your choice couldn't be better.

Hiking tracks, climbing rocks, mountain-biking routes and all sorts of adventure sports are there for the doing in Douro International Nature Reserve or Montesinho Nature Reserve.

As we are tucked away up north, you will either arrive by car or train. It is possible to catch connecting trains from the closest main towns of Mirandela or Latadas.

If driving, stay on the main highways and follow the direction of Braganca. From Mirandela:

1. Head west on N315 23 m

2. Turn right to stay on N315 29 m

3. Slight right at Av. das Lomunidades Europais/N15 0.5 km

4. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit 0.5 km

5. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto N315 0.9 km

6. Slight right to merge onto IP4 51.4 km

7. Take the exit 0.3 km

8. Turn right toward Av. das Cantarias 1.4 km

9. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Av. das Cantarias 1.6 km

10. Slight left at Av. Sá Carneiro

Go through 1 roundabout 2.3 km

11. Slight left at Praça Prof. Cavaleiro Ferreira 0.6 km

12. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto R. do Vale d'Álvaro 0.2 km
