Hearty welcome to Akkarakkalam Memoirs – an exotic farmhouse presented as an excellent souvenir of the ancient Akkarakkalam family, with a tradition of 150 years.
Lodged in the ideal settings of a rustic background, Akkarakkalam Memoirs was handed over to its present 4th generation by a far-sighted visionary, K.C. Joseph Akkarakkalam.
It is an ancient two-storied house constructed with wood and bricks and is still maintained in memory of the golden era of this Ancient Syrian Christian family. It is now proudly presented to the world as an icon of age-old tradition and trust.
We have 5 heritage deluxe rooms, which are well appointed and equipped with modern facilities. Wardrobe for safe keeping, writing table and chairs are provided in each room, attached modern bathrooms with flowing hot water showers, television and AC.
The common areas are a dining hall, a visiting area, reading area, and a spacious garden overlooking the paddy and backwaters. There are additional facilities like internet access, cycles, fishing rods and a laundry service for guests staying more than a night.
From Alleppey town:
1. Head to Chaganacherry for 9 km.
2. Take a left at Poopally Junction, where you will see Nedumudy Bridge ,(you have bus stop here, and there is also an auto stand).
3. Follow the road on to your left for exactly 2 km and you will see Akkarakalam Memoirs.

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 2 Days before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the full cost of the reservation. Deposits paid are non refundable.
