The Backpackers dorms are perfect for Volunteer Accommodation -- we are regularily used by Volunteering Organisations such as Habitat For Humanity.

The Budget Self-Catering Accommodation consists of single, double and dormitory rooms. Only lodge in Cape Town, with two camp sites, for vehicles and tents -- is located within our garden!

We have a travel desk which can help you plan every aspect of your trip, from arranging; booking theatre tickets to planning a trip to Robben Island or a coastal trip along the Garden Route. We have it all

Some interesting activities at Oude Molen Eco Village are: Our local Pool - cool of on a hot day. Horse-riding on the Estate from the on-site stables; Walking around the wetlands; Visiting the local Farm Stall.

Rooms are nice and comfortable. Cool in summer warm in winter. 50 beds spread out in dorms of 4 beds - twins of 2 beds and family rooms of 5 beds and private rooms with double beds. All with reading lamps. Bathrooms are never more than steps away.

If you have your own car :

Take the N2 towards Cape Town;

Turn off at Exit 10B Raapenberg Road (Pinelands).

From Raapenberg Road turn left into Alexandra Road.(Left towards Vincent Palloti hospital)

(Opposite Pinlands Railway Station) Left into Oude Molen Eco Village;

Once in village, look for the Riverlodge sign 10m after entry on the right.

10 minues from the Cape Town Central:

Take the N2 towards Airport;

Follow the signs to the Airport on Settlers Way.

Take Exit 10 Raapenberg Road (Pinelands).

From Raapenberg Road turn left into Alexandra Road.

Left into Oude Molen Eco Village;

Once in village, look for the Riverlodge sign 10m after entry on the right.

30 minues from the Stellenbosch Wine Route:

Take the N1 towards Cape Town;

Take Exit 7 Koeberg Interchange to get onto the M5 to Muizenberg.

From the M5 take the Airport off-ramp, keep left;

Take the Pinelands off-ramp to Raapenberg Road;

Turn left into Alexandra Road.

Left into Oude Molen Eco Village;

Once in village, look for the Riverlodge sign 10m after entry on the right.

By train from Cape Town railway station:

Take the Cape Flats train to Pinelands Station.

At Pinelands station cross Alexandra Road, towards the mountain, enter Oude Molen village.

Turn left and look for the Riverlodge signage. It's a 3min walk to the lodge.
