Welcome to The Hotel Avra!

The Hotel Avra is situated in the village of Benitses, in the south part of the Island of Corfu, just off the west coast of mainland Greece. The original Avra was opened in the 40\'s by the local Spinoulas family and featured in the book \'around the world with 20 dollars\'!

Now it has been taken over and partly re-furbished by the Monro family, Andy, Sarah-Jane and Jamie. We are hoping to keep up the \'family\' tradition and warm welcome!

The Hotel Avra currently has a one star rating and 16 rooms, including twins and doubles. It is ideally situated, being only just over the road from the local beach and close to the main centre of Benitses, where you will find tavernas, bars, supermarkets, local bus stops, the Corfu shell museum, Historic buildings, marina, and play-ground.

The hotel has a small car park, but spaces are limited so there is public parking within 150 and 250 metres. The hotel does not have a private swimming pool, but there is the well-maintained \'Barracuda pool\' only 2 minutes walk away. There is a 2-euro entry charge, but that includes your sun bed and umbrella for the day! Benitses village and the island of Corfu have lots to offer for every type of holiday!

The Hotel Avra currently has 16 rooms that have been partly refurbished. There are twins and doubles. BUDGET - Please note that the rooms described as \'Budget\' do not have balconies and due to the proximity of the local buildings, unfortunately not much of a view. Also they do not include breakfast!!

All the other rooms do have balconies. The rooms all have private shower/bath rooms. The standard rooms have air-conditioning, the Budget rooms have fans provided free of charge. All of the rooms also have fridges in and a kettle.Maid service is 6 days a week. The maid does not work on Sundays or bank holidays. The linen is changed once a week and towels are provided.

The hotel has a reception area and dining area where the buffet breakfast is served. The breakfast included in the price of the standard room is a light buffet, with coffee or tea, fresh local bread, preserves, juice and any fresh fruit that is in season. Should you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know and we will try to accommodate you. There is also a small BBQ area outside should you like to purchase some local fish from the harbour to cook for dinner.

There are also public toilets and a shower and suitcase room. This is so should you not be travelling until later in the day, having vacated your room before 11 am, you may still go to the beach then have a shower before you travel.

There is a Wi-fi Internet connection and laptop available in the reception area, should you bring your own laptop, the signal is good in most rooms.

We can also provide - hairdryer, iron, ironing board, plug adapters, and cots. There is a small library and a selection of children\'s toys/games/DVDs [if we have bad weather!]. With the restrictions on luggage on airlines, we can provide a laundry service, should you not want to bring so many clothes!
