very central location. one block from Ipanema beach. many good restaurants and shops on the doorstep. staff friendly and helpful. The manager Christine speaks English and very resourceful. breakfast included. internet and wifi available. many tours offered. happy hour at bar. affordable carnival tickets were on sale.

About Terrasse Hostel

In the most beautiful and exclusive neighborhood in Rio, Ipanema, Terrasse Hostel is located in one of the most famous streets in the city. It's a gastronomic spot, with a lot of bars and clubs in the area and just one block away from the metro station and the famous Ipanema beach!!!!Our hostel is from 1960, with a nice architecture and a good view from the rooms to the beach. We have comfortable, cozy and clean accomodations that also have balcony and fans. Here we offer a great and relaxed atmosphere, where you can enjoy the beach or lagoon in the morning for a walk or a swim, and sip some beers in the nearest bar, pub or club.We have a friendly and helpful staff, ready to help our costumers anytime. Everyone speaks English and spanish, and are local experts on the cool things in Rio.Our facilities:Internet wi-fi free and computers available to hire. Breakfast and bed sheets are included. Lockers for every bed, and a guest kitchen.We have: 5 dorms, 3 double (couple) rooms, 2 twin rooms and 2 single rooms. We hope to see you soon!!!

Guest Check-in time is 1 p.mCheck out time is at 12pm; however, we will be happy to store your belongings in our secured locker room if you'd like to venture around the city for a couple of hours prior to you flight.Be ready to have a great time!ATTENTION!!For New Years and Carnival we have a minimum stay period. Please note you must book the full package otherwise your reservation will not be valid. (Which means you will lose the deposit paid). New Years Package 2009 (4 nights - 28/12-31/12)Carnival Package 2009 (6 nights- 13/02- 18/02)Bookings for New Year or Carnival must be for the whole period of the package, any booking that breaks into the New Year's or Carnival dates will be automatically canceled and the deposit amount not refunded.
