Latest Review for Sacre Coeur Apartment

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Located just a block from the Porte de Clignancourt subway station, it's very easy to access all of Paris if you don't mind taking the metro. I, being a woman, wouldn't wander around the neighborhood at night, but it's nice during the day, with at least three marchées nearby with great fresh produce and a fabulous boulangerie right around the corner. All of the store owners were very nice and helpful when I needed it (although I did speak French, which probably helped).

I noticed that some people had issues getting the keys when they arrived, but we had no problems at all - we got here 15 or so minutes before our appointment and he was already waiting for us. Sheets were provided at our request, although we did have to go out and get more toilet paper. Some reviews that I've seen were disgusted by the cleanliness (or lack thereof) of the apartment, but other than being previously occupied by someone rather hairy, we didn't really have any complaints. You get what you pay for, and we certainly weren't paying for a four-star hotel.

I'd recommend it, but only to those who are on a tight budget/with a close group of friends. If you can afford it the extra couple of euros/night, find something closer to the center of town, if only for convenience's sake.

I had to go from Porte Clignancourt to Voltaire to pick up the key, despite the fact that we had an appointment. There were no proper bed linen although I had specifically asked for that.
The apartment is very small, the beds are squirky and the kitchen isn't exactly fully equipped (bring your own knife to cut with). There was no toilet paper and no washing-up liquid.
But...
you actually get what you pay for. The apartment is extremly cheap compared to others.
the location is ok, close to the metro in an area that's a bit up and coming (though I'm sure it will take a decade until it's a thoroughly decent area)
the materials are fresh and easy to clean while you're there.
your'e not in Paris to hang around in an apartment.

it is 5 minutes far from subway station, but the area that is located is really a bad area. there are a lot of strange guys around there!
when we arrived, the apartment was terribly dirty! we should argue so much to persuade the French guy ( who could hardly speak English) to clean the apartment!
and the worst thing: the toilet was out of order! we had a terrible time there! I strongly warn you to avoid staying at this horrible apartment!
