Budget Accommodation Europe France Paris All Accommodation Hostels Square Caulaincourt
This was my first time staying in a hostel and I was a bit nervous as a 27 year old woman traveling alone - it is difficult to find out if the area in which you are staying is safe for a woman who is traveling alone. This hostel was very safe and in a wonderful location.

This was my first time staying in a hostel and I was a bit nervous as a 27 year old woman traveling alone - it is difficult to find out if the area in which you are staying is safe for a woman who is traveling alone. This hostel was very safe and in a wonderful location. I stayed in a 4 bed all female suite which was small, but clean. Staff cleaned the room and bathroom every day. The only negative about this is that the tiny bathroom had an opaque piece of glass taking up most of the bathroom door so you can basically see whoever is in there sitting on the porcelain throne or preparing to shower - a curtain would be nice, but be prepared to not care if your roommies see you in your birthday suit. Breakfast is free and consisted of cereal, a croissant, and a miniature baguette so was nice (coffee was available, but I don't drink coffee). With the exception of the bartender the staff was not overly friendly, but they weren't rude, and I imagine I might have the same attitude if I dealt with tourists all day who in large part do not speak the local language. I hope to return to Paris in August of this year and I would definitely stay here again. Also, they have a few computers and wireless internet, but it only really works in the small lobby - be prepared for this.

I enjoyed my stay in the hostel. The people behind the desk were really nice. We booked a bedroom for 6 females (we were with 3). But when we arrived we got a bedroom for 3 persons. So that was really nice!! The neighberhood was also nice.. lots of restaurants.. and stairs:P Only thing was the breakfast, little bit small and little bit overrathed.. but the rest makes everything good! I can really recommend this hostel.
