About Hotel Excelsior Belgrade
The Hotel Excelsior Belgrade features brand-new refurbished economic guest rooms (Room is very small only 6 sqm and also has a brand-new separate bathroom with shower) and is located in the very heart of the city centre, just opposite the city hall and the parliament. The room price includes a full breakfast buffet including eggs, any style to order.
Surrounded by the Pionirski Park and the Tasmajdan Park it is within easy walking distance of the biggest city squares, all major embassies, theatres, cinemas, restaurants and clubs.
Hotel Excelsior Belgrade opened on 14 March 1924 and since then has been accommodating many celebrities like Josephine Baker, heads of state, princes and princesses and many others. The hotel was also used for lengthier stays by many famous authors (Ivo Andric, Milo Crnjanski, Vasko Popa).
Price does not include 1,30 Euro (currently) Tourist Tax per person per night.

I found the Excelsior fantastic value for money: clean, friendly and within ten minutes' walk of the center of Belgrade. Currently undergoing a total refurbishment, I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished! The staff are fantastic (particularly Marko at the front desk) - with a good level of English, helpful, friendly and polite at any time of day or night, the breakfast was pretty good and I was generally very pleasantly surprised. Would recommend it.
