I didn´t stayed for a long time but the place was quite perfect!
It was so clean, with bathroom for each dormitory.
The location is fine, easy to find.
I rent a bike at the hostel: a bit expensive (10€) but a good way to visit Hamburg I think!I recommand it +++ !

Cleanliness is of the highest priority for us. All guest rooms and common areas are cleaned daily.
The hostel and its rooms are equipped with a highly modern keycard system. The entire hostel is equipped with a modern fire alarm system with smoke detectors and fire extinguishers on every floor, as well as a video monitoring system in the entrance area and bar.
Furthermore, our reception is manned 24 hours a day so that you will always find someone to speak to about questions and concerns.

BOOKING FOR INDIVIDUAL TRAVELLERS
Your booked rooms are available from 3 pm on the day of arrival.
Child allowance:
Children under 6 years are free of charge.
50 % discount per child/night from 6 to 12 years on the booked room category
BOOKING FPR GROUPS OF 12 OR MORE
1. Bookings for groups of 12 or more: cancellations made by the guest respectively on the part of the intermediary person or organisation are free of charge up to 60 days before expected arrival. For cancellations made within 60 days prior to arrival, the following cancellation fees apply; these fees also apply for bookings made within 60 days of expected arrival:
a) For cancellations made 59 to 30 days before expected arrival, 30 per cent of the agreed-upon total price will be due.
b) For cancellations made 29 to 10 days before expected arrival, 50 per cent of the agreed-upon total price will be due.
c) For cancellations made 9 to 1 day(s) before expected arrival, 90 per cent of the agreed-upon total price will be due.
d) Guests who either cancel on the day of their expected arrival or simply do not show up will be charged the agreed-upon
total price in full.
Above cancellation conditions also apply if the number of persons is reduced at least 10 per cent within this period of time. A
reduction of less than 10 per cent is free of charge until 1 day prior to arrival.
2. Booked meals can be cancelled free of charge until 8 days prior to arrival. Thereafter, a cancellation fee of 100 per cent of the
agreed-upon total price applies.

DIRECTIONS The fastest way to find us
Closest S- and U-Bahn station: Altona
From Main Station
- Take the S1, S2, S3 or S31 to station Altona
- Leave the station in direction Große Bergstraße and turn left into Max-Brauer-Allee.
- After ca. 200m turn left into Goetheallee.
- After another 30m you can see our MEININGER on the left hand side.
From Hamburg Airports (HAM)
- The airport is not directly connected to the railway network yet. The closest station is U- and S-Bahn station Ohlsdorf.
- Take the S1 and S11 and the U1 toward Hauptbahnhof (Main Station or Jungfernstieg). From there you can take the S-Bahn and get easily to us.
- If you take the S1 you even get to Altona without a stop.
- Between U- and S-Bahn station Ohlsdorf and Terminal 2 Zone A you can use the bus line 110 "Airport Express", which is going every 10 minutes
- Or take the Airport Express Jasper, which is going every 10 minutes from Terminal 1 Zone A and B
- in ca. 25 minutes you reach the main station
