Captain Halpin's Hostel

Photos Facilities Map Streetview Reviews

Run by an Irish couple, this award winning hostel (voted best town hostel 2012 ) in the seaside town of Wicklow wraps you in an old fashioned Irish welcome.

Located smack bang in the centre of Wicklow Town on the river bank 60 seconds from the beach and main street.

We are the perfect stop off for your trip in Ireland, so close to Dublin but still surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Irish coast and Wicklow Mountains National Park.

Hourly buses to and from Dublin and regular rail connections make Wicklow easily accessible.

There are two common rooms that will seduce you into relaxation.

Our self catering kitchen is well equipped and we have a supermarket behind the hostel

Relax to music while reading, enjoy a film in our lounge and surf our free wireless internet.

On cold days enjoy a real coal fire.

All of the rooms have their own private bathroom and can be booked as privates for families or friends travelling together.

We provide home-made Irish Brown Soda bread in addition to cereal and tea/coffee for breakfast.

Our goal is to help you enjoy your holiday, and we can put you in touch with the many activities around the area, for example:
