The house has an old fashioned charm with many old stone and wood features, echoing two centuries of habitation and family life. Casa Verde is at Vellano (near Lucca) a hillside village sitting grandly in the high narrow wooded valley above the town of Pescia in Tuscany. The house has recently been restored with modern services. The house has a fantastic view of Vellano and its terraces rise above its old garden where we grow many types of fruit and vegetables for our guests. Collodi is the home of Pinocchio who is a fictional character that first appeared in 1883, in The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo CollodiA few kilometers to the east of the Villa Mansi is the Villa Torrigiani, another sumptuous country house, originally dating from the 16th century but remodeled in Baroque style. It has a beautiful park.
