Having been hard pressed to find any sort of reasonably priced hotel for European Parliament week I settled on Hotel Pax without high expectations, however was very pleasantly surprised by the place.

Welcome to Hotel PAX an establishment of character and family tradition located in Strasbourg city centre, nearby the charming Petite France area, the rail station and the Modern Art Museum.
For a long time the Hotel PAX is a well guarded address for those who have already fallen under the charm of the Alsatian capital.
They come to enjoy comfortable recently renovated rooms at a reasonable price, a good restaurant serving Alsatian specialties and friendly personnel who are eager to help under the direction of M. and Mme DOLLINGER.
It is the perfect place to enjoy the Alsatian hospitality and the charm of traditional cuisine.

Having been hard pressed to find any sort of reasonably priced hotel for European Parliament week I settled on Hotel Pax without high expectations, however was very pleasantly surprised by the place. It was family run, which was nice, and all the staff were especially friendly and spoke English, but even put up with my embarrassing French when I tried to practice! My room was very large with a view of the river, and although it did also overlook the tram stop which could be a little noisy, it was also very convenient for travelling to Parliament. I would definitely stay here again.

Easily reached from the train station on foot, and only metres from the Old Town. Clean, neat rooms, excellent reception staff. Only complaint - the walls are a bit thin and if you have inconsiderate neighbours you may need earplugs to keep the TV noise out.
