This is a tough one, on one hand it sucked because they would tell you to go to your room and be quiet at 10pm or to go across the street and sit in the park and risk getting fined by the police for drinking...if you were drinking...which we were. I met a lot of cool people here and one night we were laughing real loud and they came out and threatened to kick us out if it happened again!
but on the other hand they organize a lot of day trips and activities for the people in the hostel.

We are perfectly located in the lively Jetty area close to cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops and an international marina. The beach is just 7 minutes walk.
Our hostel is purpose built with fabulous large communal areas, heated pool, games area, pool table and excellent cooking and laundry facilities. Our bedrooms are large with all metal bunks.
We are well known for our friendly, fun atmosphere and have a brilliant range of planned social activities (one every night of the week!) that will guarantee you a stay to remember! So come and join in the fun!

but on the other hand they organize a lot of day trips and activities for the people in the hostel. more so than any other hostel I've ever been to. they even drive you to places for free. it's really nice.
overall I'd probably stay here again. Just be prepared to go to sleep early here. you are not going to be doing to much partying here.

Directions
Pick-up available from 6am-10pm.
DRIVING North (from Sydney) look out for the Police Station on the left. At the lights turn right into Park Ave, you will see Woolworths. At the r'bout turn left. At the next roundabout turn right into Harbour Drive. Head straight on for 1.7kms look out for our big orange fence on the right.
DRIVING SOUTH (from Byron Bay) go past Big Banana on right, Park Beach Plaza on your left. Head straight on till you reach the City Centre Mall, you will see Westpac Bank on your left. Turn left at the lights go through the Mall. Continue straight on (this is now Harbour Drive) for 1.7kms look for the big orange fence on the right.
