We booked this guest house because we wanted to be close to the main bus station for arrival and departure but found that it was more than walking distance and a tuk tuk cost 60 baht wherever you wanted to go.
This is a small guest house just outside (about 1KM) the main centre of Sukothai and very close to the main bus terminal. That means it's slightly out of the way but that can be a good thing if you are wanting somewhere peaceful. The hospitality of the hosts .
Sabaidee guest house is located in the heart of a tropical garden. It is the perfect place to enjoy the day in modern Thai style and friendly atmosphere in a quiet location to make you feel at home.
The purpose of Sabaidee is to keep our guests in contact with local culture and customs by home stay. The guests can stay within the owner’s house in the middle of a small authentic community.
Just 1km from New Sukhothai, and just 5 minutes from busterminal.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?
We booked this guest house because we wanted to be close to the main bus station for arrival and departure but found that it was more than walking distance and a tuk tuk cost 60 baht wherever you wanted to go. The restaurant area and gardens were pleasant but the guest house itself was down a couple of side roads amongst the local (low quality) housing and in a swamp which could cause mosquito problems but we only saw one in our room. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and spoke good English. A disappointing meal the first evening - we opted for the house special for 80 baht but was no more than an English style chicken stew with rice which did not compare with the wonderful Thai food we have eaten elsewhere. Our room was probably the lowest quality room (No. 2) which was dark but clean but don't look out of the bathroom window for a pleasant view. Other rooms looked better but may have cost more than £11 we paid for 2 nights. We had laundry done which was a plus and the next door neighbour provided the tuk tuk ride back to the bus station so the community around the guest house pull together to provide a service. Apart from the old city Sukhothai doesn't have much to recommend it.
