This is a Trusted Review. Why?

I really enjoyed my stay at the Miyagi Guest House in Sendai! Stayed there for 3 days in total.
The location is nice and close to Sendai station, and you can get to the center streets of Sendai in around 10-15 minutes on foot.
I didn't have a hard time locating the Hostel, since I had already found it on google streetview beforehand. I can recommend this approach. The car-repair-shop at the street (where to turn at) is easily recognisable by the large (and very pink) ½ car hung on the wall (you cannot miss it if you walk by).

The surrounding neighbourhood is nice and quiet.
Everything in the hostel is in Japanese style, which was a big + for me. When I travel to Japan, I don't want a western style hostel, but a place where you sit on the floor, etc.
The service was great and always available when I needed it.
Only non-perfect thing to mention was the staffs inability to communicate in more than very basic English words. This however never became a problem, and actually only made the whole experience more Japan-ish =)
I will definitely recommend the Miyagi Guest House to any travellers who wants to take in the japanese culture, or just a nice place to stay for very little money. In any case: great value for your money!
Hope to come back some day.
