About David's Cozy Little Moonshine Palace
Our cosy and intimate hostel is specially designed for Students, artists, intellectual travellers and philosophers, with accomodation in dorms for single travellers, doubles for young couples and rooms for small groups of friends . (No big groups or school-classes at all!)
Its the ideal place for those who appreciate private, artistic, romantic atmosphere for individualist.
Each of our beds with a private lamp are individual single beds, no bunk beds!
Our living room, full of plants and a cat have comfy sofas for chilling out and meeting your fellow travellers. Beside coffee & Tea we have there a library full of Berlin guide books, Berlin Magazins, Maps, Life-style-magazines in English, German, French, Italian and Japanese.

Conditions
The Reception is open from 9 in the morning to 12 midnight.
But your will get your own key.
We accept Cash or Gold only.. Credit cards are not accepted.
Your complete booking has to be paid on arrival.
Bed Linen are not included in the Price and is mandatory.
For hygenic reasons we are not allowed to permit Guests Sleeping Bags
The Bedlinen with pillows and blankets are 3 Euro per Person per Stay.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations announced more than 7 days before arrival are free of charge. Cancellations announced less than 7 days or no shows are charged with the originally booked grand total (100%). Cancellations have to be announced in written form, only (no phone calls!) In case of cancellations with costs, the according fees will be charged to your credit card. By confirming your booking you are accepting these special cancellation terms.

Check in time is from 9am to midnight only.
We kept your bed free at least until 2 hours after your expected arrival, after this we might cancel it, except you call or send us a mail.
If you dont find us at the Reception please call the Mobile Phone of the Manager. The Number is written on our Door. In case you dont have a Phone you can do Cheap Phonecalls from the Internet cafe across the Street.
We charge a deposit of 20 Euro for the key which you will get back on departure.
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. No shows and late cancellations will incur a charge of the first two night's stay.
We only accept groups with a maximum of four people. Bookings of more than this shall be cancelled without a refund.
Luggage storage: 2 Euro per person per day. (limited)
Stored luggage and Lost & found articles we keep not longer than a month, food only for 1 day after your departure. After this date it gets terminated.
As well we do not guaranty for the content of luggage at all, except for taken cash against receipt.
Laundry service: 7 Euro
( Included Washing Powder , Fabric Softener and Dryer )
We have Security Lockers which can be rented for 1 Euro per day.
This is a smoke-free hostel. You may smoke in our lovely front garden which has benches to sit on.
Alcohol is only permitted in strictly limited quantities.
No Refunds.
Davids Hostels house was built by Davids great-grandfather Count of Bredow in 1885, with loans from the Kaiser.
It was a Herberge=hostel from 1885 to 1914, then a bar until1996.

It's just like home, if you are the person that likes fun more than cleaning. Good place to meet other travellers and freedomseekers. The organization is not waterproof so have no expectations and go for it! The price is nicely low and the Wifi signal nice and strong.

Definitly a good place if you want to get to know other people to hang out with. Also the district where it is located is interesting, its a typical Berlin district really near to Berlin Tegel.
BUT: Regarding Cleanliness during our stay it was really below minimum standard! There were bedbugs in our double bed that made our skin go crazy the next 5 days!So decide yourself what is more important for you!

We were staying here for one week and we liked it. David was nice and though we weren't there very much, there were many friendly people and we reeally liked the beds, they were so confortable. It was cool that we could use the refrigerator for our stuff. We would come again to David's Hostel when back in Berlin.

David's Cosy Little Backpacker Hostel Berlin is a nice hostel, but absolutely not luxe.

The matresses weren't very good (nor very bad)
You can't cook (they of course have a fridge and also a microwave, but that all)

You can go and leave whenever you want: you get keys of your room (the living is 'closed' by 10pm).

Lovely stay for two nights. Friendly people and an interesting little community of fellow travellers so always someone to talk to and get some tips from. Rooms not necessarily attached to the main hostel so if booking for several people make sure you ask where they are. It wasn't a problem as the area is nice and quiet - it just came as a surprise that my friend's room was in a different apartment 4 minutes walk away from mine. Location is superb - I like to think I'll come back some time.
