Rooms were small but clean and quiet. Location is really good, only 5 mins walk from Kings Cross train station. Included breakfast which was a bonus. Only downside.. Be prepared not to use the "kitchen", which was only a microwave.

As for the hostel itself, I would recommend it highly. Above all, it is very clean, charming, and well-placed in its proximity to Kings Cross Station. Although the area is very busy and noisy and not perhaps the safest place in the world, one feels safe here. The lounge area is serene and cozy. The showers are hot. The sheets are clean. If you want a little more comfort, sleep on top of the blanket to provide a little more padding.
The woman at the desk was very efficient and nice. A male receptionist encountered later in the day was also very friendly and helpful.
We stayed for two nights, had to pay for a private room (that's all that was availabe) the first night and then had booked two dorm beds for the 2nd night. They would not let us sleep through the check-in check-out period. We had to check out of the room at 10 am and then recheck in later. While they did grant us the concession of checking us in at 12 instead of 2, I would give them a D- for their flexibility and willingness to recognize that we had paid good money for 2 nights' stay. They would only allow us to sleep through if we each paid an additonal £5, which, considering the amount of money we had already spent, was quite shabby of them.
Despite my being disgruntled about the check-in check-out issue, the place is a very nice low-budget, secure place to stay in a very convenient location.

It was very noisy and hard to sleep without earplugs, due to the street traffic but the location is very good, next to St Pancras Eurostar Station. Breakfast was not included, neither was WIFI as you have to pay £5 a day. There are not enough showers, and too many (narrow) stairs for my big and heavy luggage (and believe me stairs are not probs generally). Staff was very nice though and I would go back again.

About Keystone House Kings Cross
Keystone House is a 140-bed hostel located in the heart of London, within two minutes' walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras stations. The locality itself makes it within easy reach of London's West End, Camden Town, Oxford Circus, the city centre and famous tourist attractions and sights.
Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations provide excellent transport links including the tube, bus, overground trains and, of course, the Eurostar which operates out of St Pancras.
The Hostel was opened in 2010; therefore, all the facilities are new and rooms offer a comfortable modern atmosphere. Special features include the Backpackers Bar, boasting a large variety of affordable drinks, a large roof terrace - great for barbecues and alfresco drinking.
We also have 24-hour reception, internet cafe, laundry facilities
Our friendly staff are onsite and available 24/7 and security is taken seriously with 24 Hr CCTV in place.





Please note that our two-bed basic twin private (or LU (London underground)) rooms are inner cabin rooms without windows but are said to be more peaceful. Three bed basic rooms might be affected by noise due to its location underneath the bar and breakfast area.
Parents or guardians and family members with children under 18 must book the whole room. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian or parent and are not permitted in the shared rooms.
Inspired by your feedback we have permanently lowered our room and bed rates and made breakfast optional.
For a more diverse and richer breakfast we have joined forces with the nearby Station Café. There you will not only get your breakfast at discounted rates, but you will get the chance to enjoy an authentic retro London cafe – the kind where locals go! The breakfast is available daily between 7am and 10am.
A free basic self-service breakfast will still be available in house after the initial development work is completed. . Menu and further information are available at reception
