We are located in the old-town, near Alfama, St. George Castle and Graca. This Is Lisbon Hostel is a oasis in a traditional neighborhood, at a walking distance from all major attractions in Lisbon such as Tram 28, Rossio Square and Flea Market. Our XIX century building has a unique terrace and view over Lisbon rooftops, perfect to relax after a full day of exciting discoveries.
Our facilities were fully renovated and refurbished to guarantee maximum comfort and cleanliness. We have central heating in every room and daily housekeeping. There are separated bathrooms for men and for women, hot showers 24hours a day, common room, free computers and free wifi Internet, laundry services, and free use of the kitchen. We are an eco-friendly hostel, using ecolabel cleaning products, recycled paper, and much more!
Our 7 rooms and 2-bedroom apartment, named after Lisbon themes, have plenty space, new mattresses, heaters and free lockers for a cosy stay in Lisbon.
Our outstanding staff organizes free walking tours, trips to Sintra, Mafra and Caparica Beach as well as Portuguese homemade dinners, brunches and Portuguese lessons. We also organize yoga in our terrace and surf classes, with pick-up at our hostel. We also have free maps, travel guides and advices!

To arrive to our street from Rossio, exit metro station through square Praca da Figueira, follow tram rails to street Rua dos Fanqueiros until n.170, take public elevator (open from 9am to 9pm) step out in street Rua da Madalena, then turn left and take the public elevator in 'Pingo Doce' supermarket building (works 24hours) and you are in our street Costa do Castelo. After 9pm go direct from square Praca da Figueira to street Rua da Madalena and then take the public elevator to our stree.
If you do not use the elevators, you will not need to go to a fitness center in Lisbon : )
