Pegasus Hostel was really valuable! Me and a friend arrived early, but was able to check in right away. The dorms were cheap, and the small neighbouring restaurant with pizza and pasta was also very valuable. Free wifi, very service-minded reception and close to everything.
The one thing that made my stay uncomfortable was some of the other girls staying in our room, who could not respect that in an 8 bed dorm one can't put one's stuff all over the place.... more

Pegasus Hostel Berlin is situated in central Berlin, just a 5 minute walk from the overground (S-Bahn) and long distance train station Ostbahnhof.
Our Hostel, lying in a leafy, quiet inner courtyard, was built in 1903 and used back then as a Jewish girls dormitory. We have about 200 beds and offer rooms with 1-9 beds. All rooms have high ceilings, typical of Berlin's 'Altbau' buildings, and are sunny and quiet. There are showers in every corridor.
We are open 24 hours a day all year round: no curfew, no lockout!
We have free internet access,free WLAN, free lockers, free bed linen, free luggage room and a fully equipped kitchen for our guests' use.
We sponsor free walks in English, Spanish and German for our guests - every day! And you will get a free city map with all the essential information about Berlin
Pegasus Hostel Berlin is visited by lone travellers, small groups and families. We receive an international mix of guests and the average age of our guests is in the mid twenties.

we had a great time here. staff were extra friendly and helpful. our room was as expected, clean and tidy and had a nice balcony too. we got there too early and they let us check in anyway and keep our bags in a room while we went out for a bit. location is great - the hostel is right next to the Weberweise underground station, and it takes about 5 minutes to get to Alexanderplatz, which is pretty much where everything is at. recommended.

Directions
Pegasus Hostel Berlin is located in Friedrichshain, in central Berlin. Friedrichhain was formerly part of East Berlin. It borders on Kreuzberg, Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg.
Pegasus Hostel Berlin is on Straße der Pariser Kommune 35. The closest subway station (U-Bahn) is Weberwiese on the U5 line and Ostbahnhof, the overground (S-Bahn) and long distance station, is 5 minutes walk away.
From Ostbahnhof station to Pegasus Hostel:
Directly infront of the station Ostbahnhof" there the street "Straße der Pariser Kommune" begins. You just follow it crossing the square "Franz-Mehring-Platz". Then you will find the Pegasus Hostel on the leftern side of the street in a bright yellow house with dark blue oriels. Please note that the "Straße der Pariser Kommune" continues after the "Franz-Mehring-Platz"!
By train:
From the Hauptbahnhof or from Bahnhof Zoo take the S-Bahn (lines S7/S9/S5) to the Ostbahnhof. Most intercity trains also stop at the Ostbahnhof.
From Schönefeld airport (SFX):
Simply take the train (either the RB14 or the RE7, 18 mins) or the S-Bahn (line S9, 25 mins) from the airport train station to the Ostbahnhof.
From Tegel airport (TXL):
Take the TXL Express Bus to Alexanderplatz and then take the U-Bahn (line U5) to "Weberwiese".
From the bus station (ZOB):
With the bus (M49) you will arrive at the S-Bahnhof "Savignyplatz". From there you can take the S-Bahn (lines S7/S9/S5) to the Ostbahnhof.
At night-time:
AAt weekends the U-Bahn and S-Bahn run all through the night. During the week the N5 night bus stops directly outside the "Weberwiese" U-Bahn station.
By car:
From the Autobahn follow the signs for "Zentrum Ost" (Alexanderplatz).
From Alexanderplatz simply drive east along the Karl-Marx-Allee and after approx. 1.5 km turn right into Straße der Pariser Kommune. After 50m you will find the Pegasus Hostel Berlin on the right-hand side (number 35).
