The swimming Hostel Berlin - Now in the center of potsdam. We found a beautiful and very centrally located berth in the middle of Potsdam, in the “Neustädter Havelbucht”!
Only ten minutes walk from here takes you to the famous park of Sanssouci Palace or the historic city of Potsdam, the Dutch Quarter.
In addition, there is a large shopping center less than 300 meters away from us!

-consistently focused on individuality and cosiness, we also want to create a place of getting acquainted in a communicative atmosphere.
An ideal place to discover the bustling metropolis of Berlin, such as the beautiful Potsdam with all of its own attractions, inviting you also to round off the hard days "in the streets of Berlin" relaxing on our sun deck overlooking the Potsdamer "city pool" and the “Neustädter Havelbucht”.....
As before, you can use not only the private library, but also some musical instruments.
Our guests can use a totally equipped kitchen to cook there own food. If you want to, you can book a small breakfast from 7:30am on for € 3,00, or a communal big one at 10 am for € 6,00.
In our common area you dispose of wireless LAN internet if you desire.
Accommodation Information
The Swimming Hostel has a huge communal area which is distributed on three levels, consisting of kitchen, dining area and living room and two sun decks, each having 40 m². For sleeping are currently five rooms with 14 beds available.
Two of these rooms can be booked either as double or as a quadruple. Both have a private bathroom. The other three rooms share a common bathroom. The two cheapest beds are the old sailor bunks.

The station "Feuerbachstraße" of the Potsdam train system is located approximately 300 meters from the Kamina.
From there it takes about 7 Minutes to the Central Station of Potsdam.
The Potsdam Central Station is about a 10 minute walk or 7 minutes by train
from the Kamina.
From here it takes 38 minutes without changing trains to the central station in Berlin, 44 minutes to Alexanderplatz.
From Central Station Potsdam, walk across the "Lange Brücke" and then follow the "Breite Straße" until you see on the left side the "Neustädter Havelbucht". In the port there is the "MS Kamina".
Alternatively you can take the tram 91, tram 98 or bus 605 from the main station of Potsdam to the stop Feuerbachstraße. There you just walk around the building that looks like a mosque, and then you are already on the banks of the Neustädter Havelbucht. Exactly opposite is the port where you can find the Kamina.
Central Station: The "S-Bahn" S7 to Potsdam main station. Continue as above.
Tegel Airport: Take the TXL bus to Berlin Central Station. Continue as above.
Schönefeld Airport: Take the "S-Bahn" S9 to Ostkreuz. From there, you take the S7 to Potsdam Hauptbahnhof. Continue as above.
ZOB: Take the M43 bus to Zoologischer Garten station, then the "S-Bahn" S7 to Potsdam Hauptbahnhof. Continue as above.

The owners provide a friendly, hospitable and clean service on the MS Kamina. The hostel is small and has an open and relaxed approach to its routines (breakfast was at a time that suited guests rather than at a fixed time, and the hostel also accepted payment at the end of the stay). A little bit of a down side was that the hostel is quite a long way from the main railway station (25 minutes by train followed by tram trip or 15 minute walk). Rooms do not have keys either which would be useful for the single and double rooms. Overall, value for money in a friendly and relaxed setting.
