The only thing is that I wish they had internet in the rooms!
Other than that, the place was really good and the staff were the most helpful people I've met in my many years of travel :-)

The Singer109 Backpacker Apartment Hostel is located in the center of Berlin, where four of Berlin's most fascinating and trendy districts Mitte, Friedrichshain, Prenzlauer Berg and Kreuzberg meet. An ideal location, for tourists and backpackers, to discover Berlin, with all of its tourist attractions.
Our hostel is situated in a historic brick house, which was restored in the past couple of years. The center of the building is the enormous atrium in the hostel, where, as well as in the lounge, you will meet other backpackers and can make new friends.
The rooms in our apartment hostel Singer109 are spacious and nicely furnished, each with own bathroom or a shared bathroom for two rooms, so they are just perfect for temporary living as well. These are the best conditions to really enjoy Berlin, not only as a backpacker but also as a family or a travelling salesperson.
Our Atrium, where the reception is located, is the central place of the apartment hostel. Some say that our lobby is more impressing than the ones of some prestigious hotels. Concerning the diversity of languages, nations and cultures that meet here, we are more than happy to agree with that.
Just take a seat and enjoy the athmosphere.
You can have your nourishing breakfast here in the morning and, if you want to, you can try one or another coffee variation with smooth background music during the day. Tea and juice as well as snacks are of course available, too.
Temporary living in Berlin where and how could it be more beautiful and relaxing.
Computers with free internet, as well as other common rooms are based on the ground floor. Right in the foyer there is a big map of Berlin, with all the information concerning the public transport.
All rooms with own bathroom or bigger shared bathroom with only one other room!!!
There is a charge once but obligatory of 2,50 per person for the bed sheets. This fee is per stay, not per night!
Check-in 3pm to 6pm, if available from 11am, consult us for a later check-in.

From Hauptbahnhof:
Take one of these S-Bahns at Hauptbahnhof
->S5 Direction: Strausberg Nord
->S7 Direction: Ahrensfelde
->S75 Direction: Wartenberg
->S9 Direction: Flughafen Schönefeld
After 4 stops, on S-Bahn station Jannowitzbrücke you have to get off the train.
-> You are almost there, just walk a little more.
- take the exit "Holzmarktstraße"
- cross "Holzmarktstraße" at the traffic light
- take the footpath between the two high-rise buldings, on the left you can see a fountain and on the right you can see a super market (Extra)
- after 200 metres you've already reached Singerstr.
- turn right into Singerstr.
- now on your left, 30 meters behind the paddling pool, take the small footpath right in front of the high-rise building to our hostel
