Being the oldest member of my room it was very pleasant with the other younger members. I was made feel welcome by them and also the staff were very pleasant and helpfull. I would recommend this hostel to other travellers. The location was easily accessible.

Best social Atmosphere

Wombats is not dirt cheap
You may find an even cheaper place to crash in town, but none where you get more value for your money.

If you are looking for a good, CLEAN, cheap place thats close to everything then this is the place to be..I stayed there one night and I really enjoyed it.

This was a great hostel and I would highly recommend it. It was very clean and the staff were professional. Wombat's has great facilities, with a bar, plenty of computers and internet access, laundry and attached restaurant. Rooms were modern and comfortable with ensuite bathrooms. Everything felt very clean. The location is a short walk to the subway and Alexanderplatz, as well as several up and coming neighborhoods. Staff were very helpful. While staying here one of my roommates was found to have bed bugs. The staff handled it very professionally and immediately transferred me to a new room, gave coins for laundry and free drink coupons. I shudder to think what would have happened if this had occurred at a different hostel. I would definitely recommend staying with Wombats.

If you need to cancel your booking or change the dates, please email us (office@wombats-berlin.de) until the day before. (please DON´T call).

As this is a guaranteed booking (we keep your reservation no matter what arrival time you have selected) we have to charge the worth of your first night´s stay on your credit card in case of no-show.
3.
After your stay, you will receive an email which gives you the chance to let us know what you liked and what you didn´t like. We appreciate your feedback! Quite a few things you will find in our hostels were not our idea - your fellow travellers suggested them!

Walk from Alexanderplatz
Take the Fernsehturm exit and turn right, cross over Karl-Liebknecht-Straße via the pedestrian tunnel. Walk down Münzstraße and turn into Alte Schönhauser Straße (4th street on the right). Wombats CITY HOSTEL Berlin is located at Alte Schönhauser Straße number 2.
From Hauptbahnhof (Central Station)
Take the S-Bahn line, marked by a white "S" in a green circle. Get on the eastbound train to Alexanderplatz. At Alexanderplatz change to the U2 line direction Pankow (or walk). Get off at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz (first stop). Leave the station through the exit "Torstraße" and follow Torstraße to the left. After a few steps you stand in front of Wombats CITY HOSTEL Berlin.
From Tegel Airport
Take the Express bus "TXL" to Alexanderplatz. At Alexanderplatz change to the U2 line direction Pankow (or walk). Get off at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz (first stop). Leave the station through the exit "Torstraße" and follow Torstraße to the left. After a few steps you stand in front of Wombats CITY HOSTEL Berlin.
From Schönefeld Airport
Take the free shuttle bus to Schönefeld S-Bahn station. Board any westbound train to Alexanderplatz. At Alexanderplatz change to the U2 line direction Pankow (or walk). Get off at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz (first stop). Leave the station through the exit "Torstraße" and follow Torstraße to the left. After a few steps you stand in front of Wombats CITY HOSTEL Berlin.
From Ostbahnhof
Take the S-Bahn line, marked by a white "S" in a green circle. Get on the westbound train to Alexanderplatz. At Alexanderplatz change to the U2 line direction Pankow (or walk). From ZOB (Central Bus Station)
