Overall very satisfied with this hotel and the very friendly staff in particular Miss Moon who recommended that we take an overnight cruise on the White Dolphin private boat for 2 couples on Ha Long Bay. She made all our arrangements and the trip was the highlight of our 4 weeks in this part of S E Asia The down side of this recommendation was that we had to change rooms at the Hanoi Boutique Hotel and the only one available for our last night smelled heavilly of SMOKE. As we are both non smokers and had requested a non smoking room this was disappointing but no others were available. This causes us to give the hotel less than 5 stars on all accounts together with some deficiencies in cleanliness. Breakfasts were hearty of either European or Vietnamese style and the hotel is great value for money.
