This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Everything was going on wheels until we discovered there were bedbugs in the biggest bungalow. Service reacted in a good way, giving us the money back and providing a tent to rest for that night.

It's really close to the airport and to Venice, and there are buses that took us directly to both places.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

I was staying with my two teenage kids in a 3-bed cabin. The cabin has only 3 beds, nothing else, and in August can get very hot during the day. The solution to this, is to stay out late, and only go to bed once it has cooled off ;-)

The time between arriving back at the campsite and the cooling of the hut can be spent at the terrace of the little shop/bar/pizzaria at the campsite, where there's wifi (officially 4 euros per hour, but there was a discount while we were there: 2 euros per 24 hours), some electricity outlets, good pizza, spaghetti, lasagne, cold drinks, and plenty of other travellers to hang out with if you want to meet people.

The one downside was that there are a lot of smokers, and there is no smoke free area. (apart from inside the cabins where smoking is prohibited). Coming from a country where smoking is prohibited in public indoor places, this felt really 'oldfashioned'...
This was not just on the campsite though, but everywhere we went really - both in Venice restaurants and at a swimming pool in another town we visited.

Facilities are cleaned several times a day, although there aren't that many toilets / showers.
If you wait till after 7am to go to the showers, you'll have to queue. (1 or 2 people before 7.30, the longest queue being around 9am). The good part about the showers, is that they're free, and you can choose exactly how hot or cold you want it, unlike other campsites where I've been, where the showers are often too hot, and can't be regulated.

Buses: I read some other reviews that say that the last bus from Venice to the campsite is around 9pm, but that may be old information, or perhaps only true outside the summer season.
Bus 19 from Venice bus station goes half hour in the evening until 22.03, and on Sundays every hour in the evening until 23.25, and stops right in front of the campsite. If you are coming from Mestre (the mainland part of Venice where the non-tourist shops are), the last bus 15 from Mestre train station to the campsite goes around 8pm, but then there's a bus 9 at 20.43 and 21.13 (the 21.13 not on Sundays/fests). This one too stops right in front of the campsite if you ask, otherwise it stops at its proper stop (Via Sabbadino), some minutes walk after the campsite.

Full bus timetables here: http://www.actv.it/en (click 'land routes' in the left sidebar).

Pricing: don't buy your ticket on the bus, as it will cost 2.50.
Buy in advance from the bus station's 'biglietteria' for 1.30 one way, 2.50 return, or 10 tickets for 11 euros. (this is one ticket that you can use for 10 trips, each limited to 75 minutes). The campsite sells these tickets too.

If we go to Venice again, we'll definitely stay at Rialto again.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

This was our first time staying in the camping cabins and we were very impressed. The campground was clean, the bath and shower building weren't too far away. And the pizza at the campground was good. Veince was a short bus ride away, I thought it was a stressfree way to see Venice. There was also very nice pool like 5 minutes away on the bus. I would diffently stay there again if I ever have the opertunity.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Great place, especially for the money. Only 10 minutes outside Venice by bus. Only thing is that the last bus leaves at 12:40, which seems really late, but trust me, you'll want to stay in Venice longer. But great value, had no issues here. Just realize, it is a campsite, with tents.
